nope, your computer or your internet connection sucks. only time i had the slightest bit of lag during the open beta was when i was spamming the wizards tornados at like 30 mobs with 3 other people using their skills also. though when i alt tabbed later i found out my anti-virus had updated, im willing to bet it was at that same time.

I don't have the greatest video card and at 1900x1600 it ran slow. My video card is just on the MB and not super fast. I turned down the setting to 1024x768 and left high detail on and it ran fine. The lagg is video not internet for me.

You can play solo but it requires an internet connection. Lot of hate over that alone but the design is to remove the ability for people to hack the game. Everything is server side that would impact the game play so goodbye to trigger hacks, gold duping and a mirage of bad things that happened in D2. It is sad that this also mean there is no means to mod it but fixing the bad had a cost

I guess I don't mind it as much because I really enjoy the battle.net system.  I love being able to chat with my friends from WoW inside Diablo 3.

I can't help but sense an extreme bias in the 'review'. You compare the game far to much to WoW and remark on things which are false. The engine is completely new, it is not the same engine that WoW uses.

As for the graphics being cartoony.. maybe a graphic novel if anything. That said aren't most rpg game graphics cartoony in some form or another?

You completely dropped the ball with the sound, it captures the same feel as its elders. One of the best selling traits to this game is the sound. 

There are a few things you completely ignore. What i find the most amusing is that me a Diablo 3 fanboy disagrees with your score of 9/10 on level design. It is pretty weak as of the beta and could be much better.

Unfortunately, it seems a lot of reviews are doing this. 

I just want to know if its going to be a worthy single player RPG. Don't really care for all the WoW bashing and comparisons. Still looking for an unbiased review if anyone knows if one...

At first I thought the Cathedral was vast and big. Then I realized that it's the same three rooms copy/pasted.

little more than same 3 rooms but ya it could have used a tad more diversity in its design :p
