Thanks for posting that. Pretty typical list of Known Issues. Just reading it some how brought home the fact that I'll actually be testing this game in a couple days, even more so than having the client on my PC. :) I actually think the next few days will go by pretty fast. What I'm dreading is the month or so in between WBE1 and WBE 2 where I won't be laying the game! Want to know more about GW2 and why there is so much buzz? BTW, interesting that performance is currently CPU limited more so than GPU limited, to the point that they warn that upgrading your video card may not currently show much performance benefit. That just shows how unoptimized the client currently is. If most people find the game playable in GWE1, it seems that things will only get much better once the game is properly optimized. Yeah sorry, it's not patch notes, it's known issues. Still, with the site being hammered, I figured I'd post it here for those getting that 502 error. |

The Known Issues also gives us some insight into how the game is updated. Maybe not quite as painless as GW1 patching, but pretty darn close. A couple minutes of server down time for each patch is much better than the average MMO, where 30 minutes is often the minimum and two hours the average. Some recent titles have even had downtime closer to five hours! So, yeah, a couple minutes of downtime for patches sounds great! Want to know more about GW2 and why there is so much buzz? Originally posted by SuperXero89 Somehow, as I was reading through that list, I expected to see a line with ATI problems and ANet delivered. I always buy Nvidia cards but it's just silly how almost every game has an issue with ATI cards.

Thats why I miss real Beta Testing phases. Gamers used to treat Beta more accurately back in the early 2ks. Now people are spoiled and act like its their god given right to be in the game early. Then... bitch about it not being done? F i hate that. |

Originally posted by CujoSWAoA I am with you on that one, my friend. I was at the edge of nerves back in the early days of League of Legends beta, when kid-mentallity players were whining and b*ching about constant disconects and performance drops, summoner spells not working etc. Look at that game now. That said, i think that folks here are mostly being sarcastic. :D Main MMO at the moment: Guild Wars 2 |

Originally posted by dzoni87 All beta means to most people now is early access - not testing content I'm afraid. Gone are the days of being accepted into betas and investing weeks of you time finding bugs / making sure you can reproduce them and passing feedback. Also back then, you were in betas to test certain things at certain times. Now beta means time to level as fast as you can, not to test what the developers want :( regards frisp |
