Every few minutes, my log would show this:

[15:06:47] [sock] Socket error 10054 - (An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

This is thier server forcibly dropping me. It's not a time out, it's not lag, it's not latency or ping. It's thier server or their ISP and they need to fix it. This is also a known issue and has been posted many times by many players. It's in their forums. It even has it's own thread, and there is no word from Avatar as to what they intend to do. 

 

As I stated in my previous post, in an FFA Loot PVP game, this is an absolute deal breaker.

Well, I haven´t experienced it at all, and neither has the people in my corp. Yes, some here and there apperantly have this problem, but those are very few, and I have yet to talk with one with this problem. As for the DEVs not doing anything, that´s npt true. In that very same thread, started by a GM, they are updating what is being done with this issue.

Yes, they did acknowlege the problem and said they'd work on it...........in May of last year with not one follow up since. But as you can see, one post acknowleging the problem almost a year ago and nothing since, hardly qualifies as them doing something about it. Since it's almost a year later and people still have the problem. And as for not speaking with anyone who has the problem, well, that's to be expected....Since they wouldn't be logged in.

 

 I'm glad you enjoy the game...Actually kinda jealous because, I'd probably be subbed right now. But the problem is real, Devs haven't touched the issue and it's more people than just "here and there". Please don't discredit my post. Just because you aren't having the issue doesn't mean it doesn't exsist, You don't have to white kningt for PO everytime someone criticizes it. Especially when it's valid. If no one holds them accountable, it'll never get fixed.

Have you tried it lately? Maybe it works for you now. Cause I NEVER crash. Neither does people in my corp. I even asked them about this. Well, some1 has crashed like once or twice, but nothing gamebraking. Maybe give it another go?

Yeah, do another trial and check again. Or maybe wait til they release POS-patch. But I wanna get the EP before that is released so I will be able to compete even more once it comes.

One thing you will never hear in PO is warp to station at 0. There is far more fun engaging combat in PO imo. There is a reason to explore terrain because you can use it in combat and no click to move ( I hate that crap). U actually feel more in control compared to Eve's more stationary warp to 0 combat. Eve combat is paper scissor warp to 0 hot dropped by a mother-ship combat. I don't see what people mean by Eve having depth. It's practically 2 dimensional imo.

The chases in PO are way more fun as well.

I recommend you try getting into a corp in PO and try to help them fight there enemies.

It was even more fun before insurance got nurfed :)
