yeah i mean, take for example WoW, every race has a different technological level, humans for example are stuck in their medieval setting, while gnomes have even robots and nuclear weapons, goblins use combustion engines and electricity, while most part of the Horde are tribal nations. the draenei use some sort of "Magitech" which fits nice with their alien behavior, the same for the Burning Legion, using fel energy as fuel for their mass destruction weapons (Fel Reaverse and Fel Cannons), and at last we have the Titans, which have a very advanced technology but look like magical devices.

the point that i want to reach is, do players enjoy to have several levels of technological advancement in MMOs? or it needs to have an especific setting?, to be honest, medieval fantasy bores me the most of the time, Sci-fi can get pretty annoying when is most focused in spaceship simulations.

mm!titan are weird technologicly!it is like they are celestial ,in wow magical would be at living level !but i have the feeling that titan have evolved past life!i could be wrong here but it remind me of the last days of stargate sg-1 when they met some ascended etc!its like the forsaken!yes they use some technology,but the means by wich they are alive is the main thing in their part!i feel forsaken and titan are one face and the other of the same coin.but then i could be wrong ,the rest are pretty much living but the other?mm,not so much living as the other race.like forsaken or titan dont get affected by a lot of stuff!

Forsaken, well, Undeads in general are based in some sort of mix between a T-virus and magic, i mean, the Scourge created their armies both by Necromancy and by the use of infected food, so they both used a very powerfull virus and magic. the Scourge is like the Umbrella Corporation in WoW (Technically), as for the Titans, they are just an alien race which achieved technological omnipotence, they dont even have organic bodies, they're just made of metal, this is the base of their inmortality, Titans are the prime race, since they have achieved godlike powers by both Magitech and common Technology......

the point i want to get in the thread is if players enjoy this type of mixtures....
