Meh. I could not care less anymore. This game is not an MMO. It's a singleplayer RPG with a build in chat box. It lacks numerous basic functions that every other MMO has these days. They couldn't even implement a proper simple LFG tool, ffs. What's even worse is that they are constantly pandering to the PvP crowd and completely ignoring the numerous issues that are plaguing the rest of the game. Not to mention that the majority of the servers are ghost towns. People have been begging to merge servers for months but they continue to ignore them. They are going to lose even more subs when Guild Wars 2 comes out. I'd be very surprised if this doesn't go "free to play" by the end of the year.

And tommorrow you will hear all the horror stories on how they screwed up the servers with the patch and how the patch is garbage etc etc etc.
But you will also hear from all the fanbios on how every single server is showing full and people are reflocking to the game with guild accepting hundreds of new players everyday!
Ths patch might of truely helped the game but they waited wayyyy to long to send it out. I mean hell they could of brought parts of it to the game with mini patches and it might of helped the game but waiting so long probally did long term damage to the game.
GG Bioware..you had a winner but you screwed up. In MMO's, you mostly get one shot to impress players and you fumbled on the 3 yard line. Better luck next time maybe? |

Unsubscribed already.
Too much like WoW, of a couple years ago. Sure the cut-scene, voice dialogue is cool, but it dulls all too soon, leaving a lesser WoW in its place. Take away the light sabers, and you've got a middling, under developed MMO. |

I agree, but if people enjoy the game then that's their choice. CoH is the only MMO that made me actually enjoy playing the game ... not just play for the rewards, like WoW. I look at TOR and it it looks like every other hotbar MMO released over the last 8 years. I can relate most of the abilities back to my WoW and Rift spread sheets. However, if people enjoy TOR then I say good for them. Every game doesn't have to cater to our personal interests. It seems like Bioware is learning too ... not as fast as Trion ... ,but they'e learning and the game is improving ... slowly. If you don't worry about it, it's not a problem. |

The way the fans are responding to this patch and news of it, you just know the game is kind of messed up. Its a big fix supposedly.
Tells me all I need to know right there. And I seriously doubt no amount of patches is going to bring swtor up to the standard a mega million mmo should be. |

Even after 1.2 the player base will still not be there. People will still hate it and the game will wind up going f2p, or getting the servers shut down for lack of subscriptions. |

Anyway, finally unsubbed my self too, just nothing to do in the open world after leveling to max, which is the most important feature for me in a mmorpg, the open world. |

Hope this goes Free2Play (like Aion/L2; none of that Freemium crap). "Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall." - Confucius |

Beyond all my expectations. :-)
The only thing I miss now is to have multiple builds. if some class can i.e. heal is nice to have healing build to be usefull for group, but is problem when soloing and questing. Also is possible to test various trees without need to go to skill reset trainer. Would be great to be possible to switch between varous builds. Btw, to dyner, i sincerely hope that putrid f2p plague never come in contact with Swtor (or wow and rift for that matter). This three are only games that are worth and should stay P2P. |
