Not sure if this has been posted yet but... interesting... also, from november 2011?:
A fascinating rumor regarding a potential sequel to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 has cropped up in the rumor section of gaming publication PSM3, with the November 2011 edition stating that LucasArts is currently hiring for an undisclosed number of positions relating to an ”open-world RPG”. LucasArts creative director Clint Hocking previously posted a link on Twitter to the developers official recruitment website where a selection of suspicious listings were posted, including an advert for a talented and experienced gameplay engineer who will work on engine code for an unannounced role-playing title – the listing did not make any specific reference to online multiplayer features or relevant platforms, with the ideal candidate set to boast console development experience, in addition to ”a passion for making and playing innovative games.”

Well, since SW is not LA's only property, it is possible that an "open world RPG" could be anything. I think the speculation that it will be KotOR 3 is mere wishful thinking. I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil |

I don't know that I would want to play a big project from LA, he likes to tinker with stuff too much...Either that, or who knows, they could do something great, but like a lot of people, I am not gonna put money down, or take anyone at their word.
I mean theirs quotes about TOR (I know its EA/BW) being almost like a hybrid, and other stuff, but that is getting off topic, I will just say, I don't trust em.

As for TFU, last I heard they had scrapped TFUIII. Perhaps this is a resugrance but I'd MUCH rather see the next evolution of the JEDI KNIGHT series of games. The more I think about it though, the less sense it makes for an open world rpg to be TFU. That's a title with a VERY directed story. KOTOR was a bit more about exploring, so it may make more sense but it would take several 'open' worlds and I don't think LucasArts would make something that grand and awesome :p just don't think they have it in them anymore. My Prediction is that they are going to expand the dance game from SW Kinect into the first open world dance based sandbox rpg.
