"All right, EA Board, listen up! Subs down! Cancellations up! We're in trouble! This game needs drastic action if we want to save our phoney-baloney jobs! And I know just the man to do it! He's a specialist! He knows Star Wars! He knows MMOs! He knows about changing games on the hoof! [picks up red phone] "GET ME JOHN SMEDLEY!" (Please can someone turn that into a GIf. Thank you). |

This wouldnt surprise me.... AT ALL. EA are dumb enough to think that this might work. If you look at his CV(Resume) it would be quite impressive, but we all know that he hasnt got a clue. Problem is, how many people at EA have ever looked at a gaming forum.....EVER. Especially the people with the power to hire and fire. Cluck Cluck, Gibber Gibber, My Old Mans A Mushroom |

They will do what all previous MMO companies did: deny there is any issue until it is too late to make a change. "Things weren't better in the past. But a lot of things were GOOD, and they would STILL be, if people had stopped the fuck messing around with them!" |

Concidering they already said they only need 500K subscribers to make a decent profit at their current staffing and they started out with around 2 million sales, I don't think they will have much of a problem maintaining the subs they need to keep this game up. Of course all the "tinfoil hat" crowd on these forums will disagree with me and the "I hate all new MMOs" will gladly jump on board with them just for a chance to bash another game, but the realistic people will sit back and smile knowing the truth. "If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?" |

Originally posted by Nadia I think they need to be able to maintain 500K subs for a loooooooong time before turning a profit. The way things are looking now, a few months from now, maintaining 500K subscribers will be quite the achievement. Lots of people bought 2, 3 and 6 month gamecards thinking it was a sound investment. In truth, most of those people have already left, and EA knows it. They're in trouble and in that article they say their ambitions are higher than being the distant second to WoW in MMO-country. That's a really good one, being ambitious that is. Of course they should deliver first. |

Originally posted by noncley I was going to say Tom Chilton but he only destroys games that are good. But Greg Street is a good runner up, Maybe Howard Marks or how about Cesar Jacquet. |
