It is Guild Wars, a great franchise that millions love to play no matter if people think it is innovative or not. |

Originally posted by gordiflu I won't be presumptuous and cite the definition of the word innovation in my response, but shame on you for stirring the pot when you know you're walking on straw legs. As many have already pointed out, you're nitpicking a valid point by coloring it as a less valid one. The counter points you've listed suggest that GW2 is simply implementing the tools used by these games as they currently exist. That's plainly untrue. You can innovate an existing innovation. It's sort of how the world works. There are very few inventions nowaday. Everything is an improvement on an existing improvement. I'm sure you'll continue to maintain this attitude in spite of facts. However, it's clear that this part of the debate has been settled.
And if you truly don't understand why you're missing the mark here then I will leave you to your own devices. |

This video is dated, but this is what I show my friends when I try to compare or just give them an idea of what GW2 is about. I need to remind you this is a video that discuss's the game not a video for the gameplay so much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBC_ig73aMs
Edit: It helps too attach the link. :) Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

First thing is first, HOW IN THE HECK IS THIS NOT LOCKED?! Obvious troll baiting, and if not, it obviously brought the trolls! lol, this turned into a , you're stupid, GW2 fanbois are a disgrace, to noooo you're stupid, GW2 haters are lameeee thread. And now the CS discussion is here too. Lock it On a second note, Why should someone give real reasons when tehre are.... atleast 5-10 of these EXACT threads? Do some research. Look at all the threads on this topic, the unanitiated thread is by far one of the best to explain the game. Originally posted by gordiflu Reductivist responses don't build a very strong platform for debate. I'm sorry if my original post wasn't explicit enough for you. Nevertheless, my "simplified" statement was that GW2 is attempting to improve upon (innovate) existing ideas from multiple games (your list) and incorporate them into their title. You still haven't mentioned a title that already innovated on and incoporated all of these ideas. You responded to a weaker version of my original point, and you're adamantly defending it by oversimplifying what I'm saying. |

Gord, didn't the fans make you not buy the game? Did you leave something here in the game you don't like anymore forum?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns-IIn-DG-c Try to argue this please. Oh also if you quote me and it's to argue my point, if I don't respond it means I haven't been corrected by you and/or I haven't seen it. Remember I don't mind admitting I am in the wrong. Take care :D |
