I would say give MO a go as well.. there is a trail so you can give it a go before buying... Get yourself past the first hour or so where your character seems really gimped because he is so slow.. but it does not take long to get half decent stats... Yes there are some bugs but over the past few months i have been playing nothing is game braking.. plus the up coming exp seems like its gonna rock..
Anyway as i said there is a free trial so your not loosing anything by giving it a go :) My 3D models |

It sounds like yo uare experiencing a little bit of MMO burnout (like alot of us have over the years).......I just mix in a greater variety of games (console, browser, FPS, strategy, etc) and take a break from MMOs from time to time...... |

Thanks for all the replies. It must be MMO burnout. Although I haven't played one regularly for quite some time, I've been in and out of EQ2 and seem to stay about 2 months then quit for 4 months, rinse, repeat. I did try the trial of Perpetuum but I didn't pursue it because I didn't have time to play right then. I'm one of those that still yearn for the magic of EQ1, but realize it ain't gonna happen....but I still cling to a miniscule hope that someone, somewhere will make a world that's fun again. I mean, I didn't LIKE corpse runs, but it made the game BETTER knowing that there was risk. I miss leveling SLOWLY like knowing it would take a year to get to level 50 and enjoying the content. That's what attracts me to the idea of EVE, but like an earlier poster said 'spreadsheets in space'. I would still be playing Darkfall if I had found a community there. It had promise. So on my list now to try is PotBS, Perpetuum (again), EVE (a big MAYBE on trying this one again), Mortal Online... I like the threat of death with consequences in my games, does that make me sadistic? Started MMO's with EQ Velious, played EQ2, DAoC, CoH, AO, SWG (pre NGE). Played briefly cause I didn't like: WAR, WoW, VG, etc. etc. |

Well thats an easy question taking in account your experience in MMOs. Do like this: 1. Unsub from all mmorpgs 2. Delete all mmorpgs from your HD 3. Forget you have a PC 4. Go do other things that makes you happy. Enjoy the spring and summer. Go out. 5. When GW2 launches, buy it. 6. Be happy |

1. Not currently subbed to any mmo's 2. none are installed, just trials 3. I'm keeping my PC 4. I do lots of things that make me happy...hunting, time with the wife, board games with the family, cycling 5. What is so great about GW2? 6. I am happy
Keep in mind that I really don't play MMO's that much. MMO's WILL be a diversion from RL, not the other way around.

Aion just went free to play. It seems that you enjoy PvP so it might be worth a shot for you! Brand new server went open, it's called Kahrun. You can level there so you are on a more level playing field with the rest. |

just to give you a few ideas. im in a similar boat as you. right now, im playing the hell out of ME3's multiplayer. as controversial as the ending was, the game is great and the MP is hours and hours of fun. just got into DOTA2 beta, and im really enjoying it. also playing BF3 like you. other suggestions: Skyrim and Civ 5 if you havent already. this should hold you off until GW2. |

after that.....if Raiderz/Tera/Firefall don't pique your interest, either just give up on MMOs for now or...... go back to Darkfall. 8) last time i was playing (January) i was invited by 4-5 clans out of the blue. several of them even persisted in trying to convince me to join whenever i'd run into them again. despite hating the name, i joined one named Heroes Of Legend that was always hanging around Chilbourne. and they turned out to be a nice, laidback group of guys that didn't put pressure on you for anything. most of them would talk in Mumble, but didn't require it. @Whibbo read this article http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/337506/page/1 and read/watch this article with vid http://www.gameinformer.com/games/guild_wars_2/b/pc/archive/2012/04/13/guild-wars-2-video-preview.aspx then if you cannot find anything good about GW2 then cross that off. @aori.. 2012 is early.. some of the biggest mmos to come out in years are releasing why on earth would someone wait for 2014... GW2 Tera TSW Neverwinter... thats all I know off the top of my head and all of those will be worth playing but all will have a large showing.
