Unsubbing, waiting for Tera. I am a big PVPer and this was the last straw. http://www.twitch.tv/style_gaming - http://www.youtube.com/user/myfreestylegaming AC>EQ>War>EVE>AoC>Aion>SWTOR>FireFall>Tera/GW2 |

Originally posted by crysent I am playing MMORPGs since UO and I yet have to find a company that acts this shady. I must have been lucky if that kind of crap happened to you often. As for the actions, I did the obvious and that was making sure my sub is cancelled and warning other people of how EA/Bioware scams customers with fake promises (or if you prefer the alternative: untested patches written a few hours before release). Of course this will make some fanboys cry but in end they'll keep playing no matter how bad they get treated. |

Originally posted by Monorojo Lol...the only good thing about this is apparently it wasn't ready so it is better for them to wait until it can be properly implemented rather than have it in the update and it works half assed. Outside of that there is nothing good to say about it. Although this game is awful from a PvP standpoint anyways so to be honest not sure why it is that big of a deal really. One of the worst I've seen in some time. At this point they may as well not even bothered with it. Pretty much a joke anyways. Their timing for announcing this not being in the update is rather classic though. Anyways, plenty around here condemn Bioware >_> 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

I want an mmorpg where pvp matters, my enemies are not my race or class, and community matters. |

Who did wrong? The advertiser hired to sell the game or the consumer who put faith in advertising? |

And of these choices, what is your evidence? Or is this simply an emotional reaction to disappointing news?

Originally posted by crysent Except unsubsribed from the game and stop giving them your money. Yes, you have the choice of accepting that this is supposed to be the norm. You can state time and time again about how other games have gone through the stages of development. But you can't say that these ttiles had the finacial backing, overall development time and medi hype that SWTOR has had. Not including the padding of numbers, the support of drones and paid advertisement sites actively defending the game even though it is obvioulsy in a rough patch. Telling people to bend over and take it or life's not fair deal with it.. Those comments don't help any.. Now this will.. If you are unsatisfied with the game and find yourself in question of giving Bioware anymore money for a subscription then don't. Kitten's wont die in Antartica, your not steppin on a crack and breakin ya grandma's back.. Don't listen to those that tell you to just accept it, because they simply don't have the strength to see through their bias. It's your money, it's your time.. Do with it what you please, just don't be some lap-dawg is all.. |

NCsoft still has not worked on their PvP system in City of Heroes after screwing it up years ago. Unfortunately, sometimes features DO NOT pan out in testing the way they are supposed to. Good companies decide to pull these features to keep working on them. Bad companies put them in the game anyways and hope you won't notice they are broken. Of course, some people will make any wild and untruthful claim they can if it supports there point of view. The rest of us sit back and relax in the truth and firm knowledge that not only is this not the first time it has happened, it isn't even the 1,000th time and unfortunately, it will happen again. "If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?" |

Originally posted by Zorgo No one answered this question, but like 85% (at the time of this post) are saying it is corruption and colusion;
What is the evidence? Announcing 2 days before launch could indicate: A) they worked their asses off and almost made it to the finish line but didn't B) they with-held info until 2 days before
So if it is B - what is the evidence for this, or is it a 'feeling' or 'guess' ? And if so, based on what? I mean, I have no evidence either way, but the final response (they chose the lesser of evils choosing a temporary backlash) 'feels' so much more realistic to me. And this is based on 10 years of experience watching this exact scenario happen more times than I can count across every game I've ever played. And I really expected someone to say, 'they were incompetent' but no one did. In my opinion, if you announce something publicly, and you couldn't deliver, it shows you aren't capable of obtaining your goals or making projections - that's incompetence. I don't think it reaches this level, in that they reached like 95% of their goal, which in school is still an 'A'. But if I were the boss, I'd be talking to my staff about making public announcement only when there is a relative amount of certainty you can deliver at the specified time. Yet, this response has 0% (at post time). |

Star Wars has so many intersting things to go through, for every taste, PVP, PVE, Exploration , Crafting etcs... Its a shame what they`ve done.
I was one of those guys happy to see the story taken to a new level, meaning something in the MMO, but now i see why it can't be done with voice overs and etc. The amout of money and time it takes makes all the others aspects rushed and unfinished, also dull... no real inovation, no GREAT anything... just the same with poor execution. |

When the ranked warzones finally arrive, if they are not supported by a major portion of the playerbase, will this support the Dev teams priority list . |
