I voted a new DAoC or Shadowbane, although that needs to be qualified as they were vastly different. I really want a new DAoC (pre ToA) but I wouldn't buy it because Mythic are owned by EA, so what we'd get would be another WoW clone with a DAoC skin.
With BG's and Arenas.... and Raids....
Makes me want to puke just thinking about badly they'd screw it up. |

Originally posted by pacov I really doubt it. My guess on that is an MMO that meets Facebook social games half way. Actually a good business idea, one that's been due, but not what many of us want. The bad thing is, if I'm right, it'll sell through the roof and we'll have an all new "clone" to hate. And still no good MMORPG to play, unless the gamer likes the "old" Themepark games. Hrmm, actually, maybe that's why everyone is trying to get Themeparks out there, for the run-off from the coming "FaceTheme" games. Once upon a time.... |

I don't care if there are more .. and probably won't want more if it will result in crowding and kill stealing. Oh, i definitely NOT willing to "take a couple steps down in graphics", or any OTHER gameplay mechanics (like responsiveness to movement) to put everyone on one server. |

So what do you want to eat today ? - Arsenic - Plutonium - Nitrohydrochlorid water - Cardavic poison - Potassium cyanide Is it really so hard to give a "something else" option in a poll ? The choices there are all useless. I dont want a clone of this or that. What is "mature gameplay", anyway ? Or "manual combat" - now that one makes no sense at all. I want: - Good realistic graphics in third person perspective. - A large high magic roleplaying world with a lot of quest content. - Many different opponent types requiring different strategies. - A solid, classic, well designed, balanced, classbased, levelbased, itemfocussed rulesystem. - A rich diverse character generation that gives you a lot of options about how your character may look in the end and what type of character you're aiming for. - A powerful crafting system that does not have permanent item decay. - Preferably sportive meaningful PvP, NOT full loot, NOT without safe zones. EVE for example would work.

I want a hybrid MMORPG.
A sandbox with a lot of content (lore and dungeons). But most important thing is that it feels new. I don't want to play something that feels like I have played it 10 times before. |

I'd like for different races to have meaningful advantages/disadvantages over other races like they used to. I'd also like to see leveling give you some degree of control over your character's stats. Say, for example, depending on your class and race, a certain number of stats are allocated automatically, with a few that you're able to place where you please. This way if you decide to play a tiny race like a gnome, you wont have the strength of an ogre, but you can still make yourself pretty damn strong for a gnome if you so choose. While ogres cant become as agile as gnomes, but can work on being surprisingly quick for their size. |

Voted for DAOC but you need more choices. My ultimate MMO would be a remake of Asherons Call. Its a shame that 99% of the community only recognizes EQ and UO but they fail to see that a 3rd choice was big part of the original kings of the genre.
My ultimate game would be a remake of AC1 or a PvE Sandpark MMO with Asherons Call questing. |
