Noone isn't a word; It's "no one". On a side note, you can guess where the word "none" came from.

LOL.

If I spot you, I'll have to summon you a balroc to fight. Just don't expect it to end the same way in the movies ;P

I will be so overpowered with the unfair cash shop advantages that I will actually be able to leave the Mists, once I'm done there, and run amock in the PvE zones, demolishing all in my path, players and NPCs alike.

Personally, I like to play a warrior with duel swords. I hate clubs and 2he swords and axes, etc. You can do this in GW2, but if I do, I will be stuck with the same 5 skills the whole game.

This is innovation?

Get over it!

If you can't, then don't play the game!

Essentially this is either trolling or a simpleton that just wants to create drama.   Every game has game mechanics that are like this.  I am so sorry you are a nobody that thinks that they are so special that they should have a video game made by someone else made exactly to accomodate you.

IMO Lock the thread.

Yeah, that's right, Lock every thread where someone brings up a valid concern about how GW2. We cannot have anyone pointing out anything to do with GW2 that isn't in an over the top all out hype. They must be flagged as a troll, have all posts deleted and ban them from MMORPG.com.

And I just love that "Don't play" line. Someone ought to go back and post all the legitimate concerns people have brought to light just so we can see all the different typyes of people you guys have said, "This game isn't for you then". Beyond this one, I've seen PVP progressionists, Endgame Raid Progressionists, Crafters, as well as a slew of categories of players listed in a negative tone. "gear grinders" "Macro mashers" "Button spammers" Just about every negative. comment about people who like WoW there is.

There's, no one's left to play GW2. Some of you guys crack me up.

All so you won't have to admit that GW2 isn't the ultimate game that ever existed. (For many anyway)

Aw come on, even you can admit that the original post was, um, a bit trollish?

I agree that forums hypothetically should be a place to have a reasoned discussion about things. This includes posting things that could be described as "negative" as well as things that can be viewed as "positive". But what they should be and how they operate are night and day. What these things usually devolve into is a version of "You don't like what I like so you're wrong." I have read a few things with people expressing concerns about GW2 that I hadn't thought of, and I've read plenty of things that make me feel like people are putting all their eggs into the GW2 basket. But by far, the marjority of the criticism that I read about this game come from people with an agenda, which can often be seen just by taking a look at their post history.

If people look at this game for what it is, and right now I think there's a ton of data that they can sort through to figure this out, they can decide if this game seems to have a reasonable risk/reward in terms of paying the $60. We know that it's not for the WoW raiders or the sandbox types, other categories are debatable. But in terms of what it does offer, I think it's one of the more promising things on the horizon.

See you in WvW!

Borderline maybe. But it's still a legit concern for some.

To me, I want to play it for the fun of it. I'm not expecting my next long term MMO, but I'll get my money out o it.

But you also have to admit, there are some posters who can't even take anything slightly negative towards GW2 without going into Don Quixote mode.

If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win.

Yes yes of course there are, I even made reference to that in my comment. Happens on both sides. It can be hard when you read something that is just plain untrue (and I don't mean opinion, I mean something that is blatantly false given what we know about the game to date) and not react, and trolls feed on this. Maybe the hype created the bashing, maybe the hype is in response to it, who knows. I suppose my biggest concern for GW2 is that people have fantasies about what it will be or should be, and that folks aren't really looking at what it is, faults and all.

At any rate, see you in WvW!

You can't. I'm going to solo WvW. Just me vs 3 servers.

Personally I intend to just use environment (e.g. bolders). Actually I might just limit that to fish. Can you dual wield halibut?

If you want to play a gimp play a gimp. (though I bet the gimp mask is a cash shop item).

GW2 was created for competitive pvp, gw2 inst for lalala pvpers, it may seem like at the start but things will get really nasty, in weekly structured pvp, montly/anual also. We finally have an mmo that alows you to be great with your char as group and stand out as solo, all the classes have more skills then in any mmo, and you wont ever loose because of gear only because you or your friends are weak, and if so you need to blame yourself and become stronger no other way, again this game wont be for lalala pvpers.

I'm guessing you never played an Agent in Swtor.  I literally had all 4 bars fillled with skills, and utilized almost all of them.  I love the ease of control with less skills, because i can focus more on strategy and combos.

If you want to play a gimp play a gimp. (though I bet the gimp mask is a cash shop item).

I seen in one gameplay video the player could pick up buckets of water to splash on a burning building.  I wonder what sort of attack skills you could get with a bucket of water?

You can only buy that one from the cash shop. Otherwise everyone would be 'winning' the game, and we can't have that now. It just wouldn't be fair.

Aion had the same system, and they had more than 5 skills too.  That's not an excuse.

I'm guessing you never played an Agent in Swtor.  I literally had all 4 bars fillled with skills, and utilized almost all of them.  I love the ease of control with less skills, because i can focus more on strategy and combos.

Yes yes yes. I hate 'skill bloat'. SWToR had it really bad with several skills that could easily have been combined by upgrading or combining with an existing skill.

in WvWvW you can get away with it, using same weapon all the time, just going from melee to range weapon, in structured pvp in the really competitive tournaments you better use you class to max or you are just using space that could be better used by a rock.

I really hope there are huge guild alliances and really competitive, because our guild is ready, our alliance is ready and structured for WvWvW.

No, don't lock the thread.  The person is trying to find out if the game suits their style of play.  If it doesn't, it's best they find out now instead of being another whiner in 6 months because the game didn't measure up to their standards.

I agree.  After all the the threads going on about the cash shop, and P2W, and the community making them not want to play, its actually refreshing to see someone post a legitimate issue they have towards GW2 and I welcome it.

There's nothing wrong with the way the OP is viewing it.  I dont share that sentiment at all, but its valid.  Wish if people were going to dump on GW2 they'd come up with legitimate reasons too, and the OP has as far as he is concerned and I have to applaud it.  About time someone not thrilled about GW2 made some kind of real sense.

That's exactly what I was thinking.  A lot of complaints in the past month about GW2 have been misinformed or just plain aggressive towards fans of the game, and I had begun to think this was another one of those threads, but personal preference in combat style is one of the things you should be concerned about if you're playing a game based on kicking the crap out of virtual enemies.

Who said innovation had to be a positive thing? Kinect is in my opinion one of the worst technological consoles invented yet its still considered an innovation. The weapon swapping is innovation because its different and new
