may i ask by what sorcery some of you are divining that a good MMORPG will be percieved subjectively as less good than originally thought to be by some? surely your powers of prediction stem from an otherworldly source.

after all., you cry about a game even BEFORE it is released :P if you think wow is the best game of all times, that's your prob. we like new games, we will buy em, and play em.
uh, and where exactly did arenanet say they will revolutionize everything? that's just your little mind making it up bro :) "I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!" |

OP what are you afraid of? Im sure after GW2 releases there will be a lot of people playing the "Happy Pandaland adventures" to who you can show all the digital shit you gathered in the course of years... or maibe not because all the gear you worked out will be outdated, thats sad, all that time and money... for nothing... |

GW2s open world pvp looks just as boring as WAR's ORvR. GW2s Instanced pvp maps look as simple and limited as SWTORs or RIFTS. GW2s Dynamic Events look as repetitive and tedious as RIFTs Zone invasion/rift system and WAR's PQ system. Im not saying GW2 wont have some bad ass mechanics or wont be a good solid game, However I feel that people may be expecting too much from A-net. It wont be the holy grail. We've seen the beta videos, Has anything really popped out at you as being simply amazing? I've played mmos for a very long time and I see nothing special in GW2. I see potential to have fun in a game that doesn't try to get a subscription out of me, thats all.

Originally posted by reignjuste Sir, you are not related to Hitler or Stalin in some way are you? Why would you want evil towards people? I play WoW still but I would never want it or anything someone else is enjoying to fail. Not to flame you, but you may need professional help. Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

SWTOR was fun 1-49. GW2 is fun 1-79. The lack of endgame content will hit a lot of people in the face. It's still worth your 60€'s for the journey to 80. |

Originally posted by GoldenArrow Orrian events = lvl 80 content, 60% of dungeons = lvl 80 content, unlocking all 32 sets of pvp gear, the story doesn't end when you ding 80. the rest of the game is not worthless to you because you're 80.
but yea, it'll be worth the price either way. |

I think there will be A LOT of QQing when GW2 is released, for a variety of reasons Fanboys that think GW2 is the 2nd coming eventually realising that its just another game People expecting it to play like WoW and getting lost because there are no quest givers People expecting it to play like WoW and getting Pwned by various mobs because they are just standing still L33t hardcore PvPers expecting it to play like WoW add getting Pwned in PvP because combat is more about skill than gear, and they dont want to admit to themselves that they have no skill. People getting to 80 and realising there is nothing to do, just the same as SWTOR. ANets line about being able to go back to old zones because you will be sidekicked down is fair enough, but people dont want to play through the same content over and over, even if it is challenging due to the scaling
