I am not a GW2 fan, I don't even plan to get the game this year (and not only because of my current hardware limitations..)  but I must say, kudos to the adverts on this site. 

I swear, the GW2  banner background we can all (i assume) see right now has been the first in about 5 years on this site that does not insult my intelligence and is actually something solid. I quite like the attention to detail like the quality of the adverts, and it actually gets me a bit excited about the game a bit.

Ad campaign successful. 

A banner without:

-Hot girls barely dressed.

-Ingame pictures to show how cool it is.

-Amazing cinematics.

-The word FREE all over.

-Big IP names

-References from other media calling it the Next big thing.

This may be the first of its kind.

It is kind of a relief from the usual.

I've always liked concept art from Anet. They pull offthe grey/white with verry limited color verry well and this banner just shows how talented thier artists are imo.

Yeah, the concept art for this game is amazing. Style and class all the way.

Yes I agree on the art style.

Well, GW1 is dropping support for XP Pro and earlier OS's so I think that just means a minimum PC is needed.

That's the problem there. I have the Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz and i can tell you MMOs are hardly playable with it.

Agreed.  The artwork is beautiful and l love the subtle use of color.

I agree with the OP and everybody else on this thread.  When I first brought up MMORPG and saw the banner my first instinctual reaction was "whoa!" followed by aww at how gorgeous it was.

Also how plain and simple it is with the words spoken.  Telling you it like it is, no hype inducing statements or barely clothed women.  Sheer awsomeness!
