well, my SWTOR subscription is running out in about a week, and i'm looking for a new sci fi game to interest me. what have i played before (sci fi): 1. anarchy online - it was nice for it's time, but 4+ years of it just made me burn out on it. 2. EVE online - i come back to it every now and then, but since i never managed to find the right group for me ( and was deeply burned the last 2 times i was in it) i'll give this one a few more months of rest. 3. SWTOR - bought the CE, got a 50 sin, 50 PT, 50 vanguard and 50 guardian, did all the FPS and Ops, had to reroll twice, lost about 4 guilds to some internal strife and inflated egos, and the two friends who got me into the game quit on me so there's not much point staying. (also played: UO, AC, WoW, DDO, AoC, WH, Aion ) what do i want: 1. decent PVE, grind can be tolerated, endgame is a plus, and grouping is more then welcome, but... 2. decent solo ability, so when i'm playing at the odd hours i can actually do something other then staying in town chatting around (not a bad way to pass the time, but i can have mirc for that) 3. option for not enforced pvp, i'd rather not get jumped 20 seconds out of the startup zone by some douche with super canons blazing at my underarmored unshielded little avatar. so, leave your recomendations, as i said, i want a Sci fi game, although i would take a great fantasy game that has all of the above. MMORPG addict since 1995. |

Try Black Prophecy, watch the RipperX video to get a good first impression. There is a strong anti-BP campaing from EvE and STO fans, but ignore that. This is the space combat that swtor should of had. My only problem with the game, is that it is a space shooter, the humanoid avatar you make is of little concern. My Tip is to loot all the wrecked NPC ships for vendor trash and carfting materials. It does have consensual PvP. Oh I luv Fallen Earth, but I never think of it as Sci-Fi. More like soon tomorrow, if you know what I mean. Visit every starting town, they all have quests that eward differnt skill manuals. You will be upset if you spend poker chips on a manual and get it for free two towns over from a quest. Pardon any spelling errors |

Try a look on Bounty Hounds Online, but i dont know, if theres a publisher for your area... Its still in CB/OB (depents on where you play) and its f2p, but its on a good way, i think. Greets Niffi |

The only one i can think to add is perpetuum. Star trek online may keep u occupied for a couple of weeks. Also for future reference, defiance may be worth a look. |
