I think I enjoyed Freemarch and Stonefield over Silverwood and Gloamwood. The entire time I leveled in Gloamwood, I couldn't shake the one word that kept repeating itself over and over. "Duskwood" If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |

I always enjoyed the Gloamwood zone particularly the story quests revolving around "The Hag"
Enjoy the ride Caedryn!

Duskwood Pines was the first half of day 2 for me in the week I played Rift. Those were good times. |

Originally posted by Thanes See, even he had the same problem I did. LOL Well, other than the fact that I like the game and still play it in spite of Gloamwood If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |

Gloamwood is one of my favorite zones. That being said, whats the point of talking about Gloamwood now over a year after release? One reaches Gloamwood after 3-10 hours of time played and will be there only a few hours before moving on to the next zone. The levling in Rift is so fast one can reach 50 in 24-72 hours played. While Gloamwood is nice it really does little to represent what Rift is about which is endgame. |

Zippy is right. This post makes no sense. We arent talking about power leveling, but the Chronicles story has been running for a while, and this dude has just made it to Gloamwood?

I liked that zone, and seeing that town during beta was one of the key moments that lead to my decision to buy the game. It's just too bad it flew by in a day, followed by every other zone, shortly thereafter. Absurd leveling rate for an MMO with such a terribly lacking foundation for an endgame. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Originally posted by keenber I'm also curious about the same thing, but with an eye toward leveling. I played for awhile and had fun, but the leveling path seemed to get repetitive. I tend to enjoy the journey more than the destination, but after a while, the wash-rinse-repeat cycle of questing/rifting began to get repetitive and kinda boring. It was fun while it lasted for me, and I applaud Trion for one of the better launches in MMO history, but I guess I'm a victim of my own short attention span. So, with that in mind, and in addition to endgame variety, has Trion expanded on alternate advancement opportunities? Keenber, and jonrd463, No its the same. They added some dailies, but the rewards do not justify doing them. Once I hit 50 I maxed out with t2 gear pretty quickly, and have struggled to stay interested in the game. I tried to join a raiding guild, but can't find one that consistently raids. WIthout raiding there simply is no reason to play. Instant adveture, chronicles, and rift running are simply inferior rewards to t2, or at most on par. PvP gear is inferior to raid gear despite the claims that Rank 40 PvP gear is on par. It absolutely is not. I really enjoyed leveling, and the expert dungeon running. However, it only takes a month to max that out. Then good luck finding a guild that raids consistenly. Obviously people do it, but its slim pickings. I wish they had a PuG raiding system, or something where competent people who aren't in the top guilds could still have fun. Oh well. The game was a lot of fun until end game. |

Originally posted by Cthulhu23 Add me as well, but it was a good thing. Duskwood and Gloamwood were two of my favorite zones for their ambience- Duskwood was better just because the questlines were interesting. I did enjoy the death invasions in Gloamwood, though. |

Maybe he's been busy farming Scotty's Lost Homework pages for his Sheeping Wand? I know I spent more time in Gloamwood than I would have liked, just so I could transform some hapless victim into a four-legged, flea-bitten furball. |
