Is the pvp in this game only pre made matches?

I would love some big open battles in world pvp.

Any one know?

There are different modes, don't need to pre-make a team to battle, I am a beta tester and all I do is team deathmatch, 5v5 or something smash each other's guts out for a while.

I love being an engineer, pop a medcrate where the fight is going on and run and gun. Turret is nice as cannon fodder lol everybody shoots it instead of everybody else on my team who are killing them.

No point in healing my stuff at this point, my heals don't outdo most damage.

Basically what you are asking, its basically a pve game with some pvp, its not owpvp for sure.

Thats a real shame, would be epic to have some game play like in Planetside 2

I can play loads of other lobby based shooter matchers from an endless list of FPS games

Thing is, there is actually a persistent open world (although PvE) in Firefall.

But I agree, it's a shame that PvP is only instanced.

But I agree, it's a shame that PvP is only instanced. 

They are just a small studio so far, 60 people. The CEO mentioned there will be last scale PVP but need take time. 

hope they add open world pvp, would be awsome
