im very picky with graphics but i have to say i really like GW2 graphic visuals, dont see where "outdated" fits in there. Its a different art style and they have my thumbs up for not trying to make a game with similar graphic style to others.

From the OPs game list i most likely will try them all but i am only waiting for an American release of Blade & Soul which i loved after playing the korean beta. But still, i wouldnt compare GW2 graphics to any of those since all (including GW2) have great visuals.

Yeah alot of these morons are tlaking about how bad the graphics are because they saw some press perosn with a subpar computer post a video of the gameplay on youtube in 720p. This is such a laughable discussion is pathetic. There is out there somewhere a 1080p video of this game running on high settings and it blows away games like SW:ToR, Rift, Aion, WoW, and is very comparable to Tera. Personally I think the GW2 enviroment is far superior to the graphics of Teras enviroment, but that Tera has the edge on character models and weapons.

Of course I am, but it's just another thing anet promised that they didn't deliver on.

Game is not out yet.  They've said that they're optimizing the build.   Now if the game is out  and it's still horribly optimized, then they did break a promise.   However, this is also why there's no release date yet.   The game will be done when it's done.

Why is it that if anet makes an empty promise you guys eat it up immediately, but if there are clear and present flaws within the game you guys go "oh it's not complete yet".

Well, if those are your "par", I'd say that GW2 is above par when comparing high settings for each. I guess that shows how subjective these things are. To me, I see no difference between B&S and GW2 quality, but GW2 wins with better art direction. The world asset textures in TERA are not nearly as detailed as those in GW2 and, once again, GW2 wins on art direction.

Arche Age, maybe. TERA's character graphics are pretty good, but the environment graphics I'm not that impressed with. Kinda reminds me of how it was with Aion, that one also had great character graphics but so-so environment graphics.

GW2's char graphics are good, imo on the level of a Rift, slightly below TERA's, but its environment graphics are imo better than TERA's. Blade & Soul's environment graphics, hmm, I saw some hours of footage, it was good but not that it made me think 'wow, that's exceptional'.

Looks pretty damn good to me.

I actually got nothing to complain about with either of TERA, GW2, AA or B&S. Just got to accept they are different art styles. I love the monster designs in Tera, I like that GW2 feels quite clean art wise and AA is somewhere close to GW2 in my book, B&S is close to TERA. People are too picky these days. ;D

Yeah, really up close to characters both Tera and Blade & Soul look almost cell-shaded. Far too anime.

Amazing what you can get away with when you use lower poly models with high quality cell shaded textures and lighting.

It looks amazing but only if you like the style.

That's not a difficult feat to pull off when your game is as instanced as GW1.  Seriously you're basically comparing Vindictus to GW2....it's laughable.

To the OP, the graphics are 2007 because that's when they started development.  This is how all MMO's are....why is this a shocker?  This is almost always the case with MMOs, it's not anything new, they usually resemble the graphical quality of around the time they're conceived.  Sure there are going to be improvements but they can't pull technology from 4 years in the future  to start making an MMO today.

All the MMO's the OP compares to GW2 either entered development at a later date, are severely instanced (B+S, Core Blaze) in order to allow for the better graphics,  OR they actually don't have equivalent or better graphics than GW2 at all.  Like Raiderz....

Since I''m equally neutral about all the games I mentioned, apparently your goggles aren't mine. But hey, I know how difficult it is for some people if other people have a different opinion or taste than they themselves do, so I'm just gonna say, enjoy your B&S when you're going to play it, it has fairly good graphics, I might give the game a shot myself whenever it comes out.

This is one of the many things wrong with the current MMO community. People are becoming graphic whores, since when were MMOs ever about state of the art graphics? In my opinion over the top graphics only ruins an MMO.

i think there has to be a balance between good gameplay and good graphics. In my personal opinion boring gameplay with outstanding graphics is as bad as great gameplay with graphics from the begining of time.
