Originally posted by TROLL_HARD Since the core design is pretty much set in stone, there's probably no good way to change up the current worlds to more exploration and the like. But like you said, at level 50 they could add some new worlds which are more free form in design. Fewer walls /rails and perhaps add some dynamic (unscripted) story content to them, such as running into a villiage somewhere in the desert that has a sandworm problem and you have to help them eliminate them. I guess I'm saying, give the players areas/content that are bit more unpredictable and unstructured, and for PVP servers, areas of great contention. (so be sure to reward open world PVP heavily) They can still toss some story content in there, but scale it back a bit and let the player base breath some. Originally posted by kiiix Good luck with that... ^^ I seriously doubt that the ToR Dev's really care what former customers think about their game. After all, they have been bought out by EA, and from all accounts have sufficient players to make the game at least profitable. Anything beyond that is simply gravy. Given some of the horrible decisions that went into the original design document (using the Hero Engine, being only one of many...), someone over there is paying much more attention to the bean counters, than the technical staff. Those types of people typically have little interest in anything beyond *this* quarters report. |

Heh , by closing it down and reopening SWG and update the virtual living crap out of it. But that's obviously out of the question , so I don't see how I could possibly improve SWTOR. |

The first page nailed a lot of my thoughts. The space portion: I really enjoy SWG's space game and would love to see that level of customizing your ship, not being locked into the one class ship you get, the freedom to fly around, etc. LFG tools: These have just become a 'quality of life' feature at this point (in my opinion). Dual Spec: Would be a 'nice to have' thing. Otherwise, and not sure how this will go over since it's supposed to be a strength of the game, but the story lines....I would not make every Bounty Hunter follow the same path in 'The Great Hunt". I would not make every Trooper the last suriviving member of 'Havoc Squad". I'd list more, but those should illustrate the point. Maybe this is just a product of being on an RP server, but having everyone with the same, very specific, 'origin story' is a bit of an immersion killer for me personally... There's probably more, but those are just the things off thetop of my head. Despite those items though, it is still fun to play even if just for the short term (for me). -mklinic "There's a point I think we're missing. |

Add some massive pvp fights that capture
The battle for hoth in tesb The death star battle in anh Etc.. Add outdoor dynamic pve simmilar to rift, e.g. rakghouls start invading Remove at least half the instancing Flatten the gear curve, do you still progress, but not as steeply as say wow, possibly even.have hard stat caps, so eventually its about tailoring gear to build rather than more raw power. Properly copy the pvp tank.mechanics from war, e.g. hold the line, shields mitigate guarded damage, but shields only work forwards. Look to replacing dailies with this rift style outdoor pve content and/or these large pvp battles Increase level ranges of each planet and juggle them about a bit so there us always a choice of 2 different planets to play on regardless of level Remove at least half of all the bloody instancing |
