Damn, I mean shall we do video comparisons Let's just do something simple get a wow, rift, warhammer, and GW 2 pve starting area youtube links and bingo answers should be there lol. If you played all of the above, one would see the glarring and obvious differences, they should be kill/collect/interact/destination/mission based/capture points(PVE)/defending/assaulting/using enviromental objects to destroy stuff/taking out towers/throwing snowball at kids/going fishing with orrs(Kill fishies/ I think I missed some others. But yea all that's been in each game and they are even done the same exact way, I mean hell all you have to do is take away such and such from GW 2 and badda boom badda bing same as the others...
What? lol
The amusement, no but so we all agree in this thread GW 2 has kill x/collect x/interact with x and more right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns-IIn-DG-c Try to argue this please. Oh also if you quote me and it's to argue my point, if I don't respond it means I haven't been corrected by you and/or I haven't seen it. Remember I don't mind admitting I am in the wrong. Take care :D |

If you intepret my words your way its not something I can control. I guess the only "crime" i commited is not being an avid GW2 fanboy. And im thankful for that! |

Besides the "been there - done that" complaint which while valid can essentially sum up every mmo to an extent seems like the writer's other major complaint was it played more like an actual mmo instead of a single player game unlike some others games of late. Which...well...lols 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

Like I said... nah, gotta give up, else I get called as I fanboy and all my arguments are invalid therefore You know what, this genre needs to die for some time, indepedent of GW2 or not, it needs to die, mostly to cleanse its player population
My theory that the problem with mmos nowadays is actually with us, the players, is coming into fruition "Some of the less objective people tend to be close-minded though and basically disregard any possible shortcomings that gw2 could have." |

Originally posted by dinams You can bet people will link back to it when all the positive reviews come out. It happens with a lot of MMOs. no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |

Originally posted by Eir_S Its a big cycle, anyone that followed mmorpg in a year would know this A game is hyped to the heavens, people that dont like get flamed by people that like, once reviews starts coming out, the flamed people strikes back with every negative review, people that like will fight back with every positive reviews, the game comes out, people that like plays it, people that hate it bash it, next great game nears completion, cycle resets... Originally posted by dinams So you've basically said that people need something to talk about before it actually comes out and they decide whether they should stay involved or forget and move on :) |
