When a game is supported by both PC and Console, it generally means that the PC version will feel extremely dumbed down and simple. |

If you see no good or you see no bad in a game, chances are you are bias. |

Typically multiplatform can pose some issues... but none the less I am excited for this game. Phantasy Star Online was such a fun game. Not quite sure how multiplatform will work considering its going to be playing on phones and all, but its something I suppose we have to wait and see. |

The phantasy star series was one of the first, if not the first console MMO. It is definitely built around controller style play, with very ease of use controls, but thats not to say the series doesn't have its complexities. The combat is extremely fun, and PSO has its own nuances that make it something I'm personally looking forward to.

It won't get dumbed down because it's a console and pc cross platform game with linked servers. Phantasy Star Universe had cross platform between PC and PS2 servers, while the xbox 360 had it's own server, I played the pc and the xbox versions, both were very fun IMO and I cannot wait for this to be released. |

Can someone explain this a bit further. I read that you have to have the game for all the systems, and say I was playing on the PS3 and decided to go to the Vista, does the PS3 have to still be running to link it, or can you shut it off and just pick up the Vista and continue from there?

Originally posted by jugularvein Its cross-platform, and its Free to Play, so you can load it on your PC, and your Vita, you can be playing on your PC and then when you have to leave, pick up your Vita and play anywhere, even if your PC is off. Then when you get to (work) you can log in on your PC and pick up from there. Thats usually how cross platform would work, in the event there are no stipulations. *** ** edit** It appears from the text that you will only be playing cross platform on the PC and Vita, the iOS and Android will share data but not have cross platform play.

Come on, this game has to be a joke with all those platforms involved. If you can play the game without a keyboard, it is NOT a MMO. |

Great thank you for the reply. I forgot to mention about the games that you have to purchase. I think it says you have to buy the games for each platform but some come with a promotion that gives it free on the others. Thats kinda cool though for sure, be nice to play at home then when I have to work take my Vita and play there ;) ;) PS0 2 will be one I def. check out. Not sure on what other big titles are coming out with the cross platform. I looked online at the titles allready and nothing really jumped out as of yet.
Thanks again CPU-Asus Republic of Gamers Laptop |

Wut? MMO means MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE. That's it, nothing else, no special rules. All it means is that there are tons of other players playing with you. |

I find it strange that it's only on PC, PS Vita and Smartphones. I would have thought that PS3 would have been an obvious system for it, but apparently not. :o |
