GW2 Scheme of B2P http://www.arena.net/blog/mike-obrien-on-microtransactions-in-guild-wars-2
but we think we can provide additional content and services that you’d be happy to pay for Content Restriction ?
We think players should have the opportunity to spend money on items that provide visual distinction and offer more ways to express themselves. They should also be able to spend money on account services and on time-saving convenience items. EXP Pot? Resurection Scroll ? Drop Rate Pot ?
And gems are the currency that’s bought and used to purchase microtransactions. the same sistem like PLEX or Chronoscroll but the different is no Game Time in GW2, so only cash player who gonna benefit from this item.
Nicely done ArenaNet, new P2W scheme for your dumb fanboi

Oh dear. Someone is making up their own misery. not to mention none of those 'boosts' would actually negatively affect you in any way if someone else used them. This isn't WoW. Plus, drop rate potion? really? Plus, you do know that you can buy gems with gold, right? |

Paying cash for gems, which can purchase in game gold.... How is this anything but Pay 2 Win? I've said all along that this "B2P" business model was a load of crap, and I was right.

It's not P2W because gold is not the primary currency in the game to by high end gear and its relations. That stuff comes from either dungeons or events, and is purchased with a seperate currency.
Everyone screaming P2W seems to forget that karma exists. |

Originally posted by psycheangel eq, wow, doac all had paid content in the form of expansions. If you ever paid for a game expansion then your point about restricted content is contrary to what you do. |

the problem with PLEX sistem in GW2 is, there is no benefit for non cash player and the game constantly overflown by GEMS, different from EVE or Tera which you can change that curency to game time so who gonna manage the inflation of that money currency? askldjaskldjaklj |

If there is an overflow of gems, the price in gold for them will go down. Simple economics, supply and demand. |
