lol is funny how people complain abouth subs  subs really dont fix game  or make nerf to the game not even is used for maint. subs is  a way to charge people  no more no less   lot of  f2p  even gw1  are f2p and they do all thos kind of stuff  and we never pay a cent just buy the game its good that gw2 not only change  the  gene of mmo but  are changing the way that most of people want  to play and enjoy the game that we really want to play whit no  more cost other than buy the game that we want and play it  and thats the way its suposed to be.

The problem with XFire is that it's not something new people are downloading. Outside of this site, I never hear it brought up, not in games, not on vent. I've brought it up a few times and most people haven't heard for it.

Which likely means it's limited to certain types of groups (hardcore gamers, forum junkies as examples). It's not getting much representation from the casual gamer, or the new gamer. It doesn't get representation from the guys who never heard of gw2guru torhead or curse and that limits it's reliability.

As much as we can extrapolate from XFire about this game or that game's population, we can extrapolate (fun word, that) from the limited number in this community, or any community, that claim to use it, that's it's not very widely used and (again) doesn't see representation in a lot of gamer demographics.

Presidential polls, or any survey, that intend to work properly go over as wide a group within their target demographic as they can. (They might only want to talk to Seniors in Florida, but they'll call seniors in Tallahassee, Pensacola, Orlando, the keys, small towns. Their lists--again, for fair polls--won't be obtained based on income or asset value, country club/welfare status.)

Of course some polls do want to speak to just the [social status] [demographic] in [city], but even those--when done right--will target as wide a swath within the audience as they can.

Ive never heard of Xfire before.  And never needed it to play an mmorpg....whatever it is.

AS a quick statistical jab, You can very wll use x-fire to measure a drop or increase in player base/activity. You can find correlation there, ie x-fire pop down = total game pop down. I believe no one would arguee with this its on face value and logically accurate.

But to say x-fire is down 20% = game pop down 20% is Inncorrect, as the populations between general game players and x-fire game players has not been equalized (found to be the same).

Still, at face value, one could draw an accurate concultion/assumption that game populations are down somewhere around 20% maybe less or more.

PS.. the figures here are made up and for use of example.

Peaked?  Game is dead and we all know it.  Maybe theres a miracle patch coming soon but we can only hope. 

Too bad too cuz I thought this game was supposed to be a wow-killer.
