pictures can be found http://www.darthhater.com/gallery/game-update-1-2-trailer-framegrabs Seriously, half those sets look terrible. JK doesn't look..awful, I just honestly don't know what they're trying to do with it and honestly the character model they put it on looks god awful. JC looks more like a cocktail dress then a robe...I can just image in the middle of a fight her having a "wardrobe malfunction". trooper doesn't look too bad, in fact I actually kind of like it. It gives me a futuristic solider vibe which is entirely fitting both the class and the setting. Its also slightly reminisent of the Dark Troopers. smuggler looks god, fucking, awful. Everything about that gear looks terrible, but lets take a moment to truely appreciate how hidious that HELMET is. What is that? who designed such a thing? did they skin a robot hammerhead shark!? warrior, well its nice to know someone on the design staff is a fan of donny darko. but seriously dressing frank up for an easter party at the white house is not a good armor design. inquisitor ....my...god...I just, words fail me right now. This is bloody STAR WARS! not DC universe online, not city of heroes, and certainly not champions online. YOUR ARMOR IS BAD AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD! I take this as a personal insult because an inquisitor was my main. thats..Just..I think I'm going to have an aneurysm because of that. Bounty hunter is about to shoot you....Rediculous pose aside, it looks like a cheap reskin of the jedi knight armor with a touch of general grevious in the mask...What little of the mask you can see. as for the agent..I thought the agents where meant to have abit of a "james bond in spaaaaaaace" feel to them. That armor looks more like a fucking wet suit......Now that I say that, I know exactly what the design staffs favorite part of the james bond franchise was. If that opens up into a tux, all is forgiven bioware.. Playing |

Everything you're complaining about is opinion and frankly you seem to want armor to fit the star wars lore when most players could care less about the lore. |

They look better than the current endgame armor. That's not saying much though.
Personally I really like the trooper and the bounty hunter sets. Shadow's Hand Guild The Secret World - Dragons Planetside 2 - Terran Republic Tera - Dragonfall Server |

Originally posted by William12 Lore, no. Setting, yes. I'm not even talking about "star wars" as the setting. But it is firmly rooted in science fiction aesthetics. Yea I know the feel of the movies was more science fantasy but it aesthetics where purely science fiction, the inquisitor gear, for instance, looks like a FUCKING SUPERVILLIAN! Not a sci-fi villian, no. But I expect superman to swoop down and hand that bitch a beating! and yes, it IS opinion and guess what?
THIS IS MY OPINION. You don't have to agree with it. I frankly don't care either way. But coming to a thread and going "yea well thats a nice opnion you have, lollore" both doesn't even make sense and really doesn't bring anything to the discussion.. Playing |

Originally posted by dubyahite This is true, I like the new bh stuff quite a bit esp compared to what my bh is currently wearing. However I gotta say the IA stuff is a downgrade, when i can finally slot my level 20 orange trenchcoat for pvp my sniper will be a happy dude, cause if you got a trenchcoat and a sniper rifle, nothing else matters. |

Bioware copied everything else from WoW, so why not adopt horrible looking armor too! Granted though, the early years of WoW had the best looking sets or armor then got worse later on, so maybe in reverse they'll get better in TOR in about 5-6 years...heh |

Maybe they just want people to stop playing so many Sith Sorcs? Already the Sorc PvP gear looks like some preverted World of Warcraft armor dream set merged with a Chicken. |

Sith Inquisitors look like from "Priscilla Queen of the Desert". XD Holy Trinity who art in our MMORPGs! Blessed be thy speccs, as in WOW so in all MMOs! Our daily loot grant us, and forgive us our noobness, as we forgive the noobs! And do not lead us to disconnects, But deliver us from mediocrity, For thine is the specialization and the teamwork and the endgame, Until cancellation, Amen! |

Crafted custom armor will be able to crit an augment slot in 1.2. That leaves us with around 20+ end game armor looks per class and they are adding more. Plus you can take the mods out of raided artifact armor and put them into custom in 1.2 so it really opens up the variety. Guess m just saying if you dont like the new stuff, you can choose from 20 or so other models so no biggie imo. |

The Jedi Knight armor set..... are they kidding me? Did they hire one of those horrible armor designers from Turbine or something? It gave me an insta flashback to some of those horrible sets from LOTRO lol. If they just remove those absolutely silly shoulder pads.... the set would look pretty decent. |

Was just reading the FFXIV forums, and found this image of the 7 new jobs with their AF=Artifact Gear that was released in Patch 1.21. Bioware, Blizzard, Turbine, Trion, etc etc etc need to take a page from Square Enix when it comes to sets of armor ~ holy crap they look awesome! Click here for full sized image!

Originally posted by Khrymson Liking these armor is a matter of taste (I do like them a lot though) Although contrary to SWTOR what you can notice here is all the gear in each set fits with all other parts. This is not the case with TOR. For example the Consular has thin clothing and yeti boots. Doesn't match. Then contrary to TOR the above gear fits the setting of the game. Finally all the above sets visually fits together and you can feel they all come from the same world. In TOR the gear looks like coming from various games, not one. There's no unicity between them but maybe the shoulder flaps and the tendency to overdo every thing. |

Nothing surprises me these days, luckily I am getting into the industry to create my own surprises. |

Originally posted by Khrymson The sad thing is you're totally right. . . but to be honest FFXIV wins in the aesthetics arena compared to any other MMO. Sadly they lose in every other aspect-- but seriously, hundreds of millions spent on SWTOR and they can't bother to make at least decent unique looking sets. :/ |
