I'd love if they redo the shaders for fire effects. Just doesn't look fiery to me.

Cats do not hate water, they don't like it but they are great swimmers. Tigers and the Turkish Van (a cat breed) are actually quite fond of water.

Besides bears, drakes and scorpions do not have gills either. I think this is a case of gameplay > realism. And maybe cats in the world of Tyria do not even have the same physiology as cats in our world do.

On topic: I do wish the cutscenes were a little more like GW1, although obviously with improvements. The cutscenes they have now can be a little weird. Hopefully they can improve some of them since they are still WIP. As others have said, some of the voice acting is not that great. Thankfully, most of them seem better than some of the GW1 voice acting. Also, some of the lines can be a little cheesy. (for glory anyone?)

I also wish there were a few more pvp modes for more variety, although i understand multiple pvp modes can make it harder to balance since different objectives will probably favor certain professions or builds.

None of these are really a big deal to me, and to me the pros far outweigh the minor cons i have for GW2.

It's not just about balance, it's also about not wanting to spread the community out to much.

The crafting seems a little bit underdevoloped compared to th rest of the game. They could have made it a lot better.

The no mounts is really not a worry, they have already said that hey put somne thought in it so I bet they will release them in a expansion later.

As long as I have that I'm good, I normally don't sweat the small stuff.  There's some pretty big things about GW2 that I remain skpetical about until I see it put into practice, but anything minor I'm not really going to worry about.

Even mounts I consider to be a nice to have feature and not something that really will spoil my enjoyment of the other aspects of the game.

personally i would love to see 

- 2 more skills on the bar, one extra utillity skill and an extra weapon skill that can be added to a weapon by crafters 

- trait profiles that let you easilly switch out traits outside of combat 

- skill profiles and clothing sets to switch outside of combat 

- a 3rd weapon set to swap 

- more skills and traits added over time, to allow for more diverse builds 

- pennalty for dieing in WvWvW, to discourage suicidal tactics, and to give an advantage over long time fights 

- an AA system to give people a feeling of progression at max level

- Rankings for all and everyting, if you can think of it, there should be a ranking for it 

- monthly downloadable mini content packs/expansions (dont has to be free) 

- server wide events

- dungeon finder for PvE exploration mode dungeons, with an option to choose people from your server, or across all servers 

- dungeon modes for 8 and 16 people 

- an easy way to see the health of people around you during dynamic events or WvWvW 

- old fashioned openworld dungeons, with mechanics like trains and such 

- guildhalls, that work in a similar fashion like your current home zone 

- more minigames 

- ingame poker game that lets you bet with ingame currency 

- fully customisable heroes that you can summon under restrictions to defend certain objectives in WvWvW, replacing normal NPC guards.

- more different types of structured PvP  

- 2 layers of clothing/armor that can be combined for much more diversity( comparable to the system seen in spellborn) where the lower level is just a texture over the skin but the top layer has its own form and volume

- more indepth crafting system 

- ingame itemless shop, with only services and extra content, but no gear and ingame usable items at all. 

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package)
Worst MMO experience : FF XIV

Armor also breaks in WvWvW, right? This is both a financial cost as well as a combat disadvantage.

I've heard the term AA a lot. What is it exactly? Is it progression without making you stronger or does it actually make you stronger? In the later case: No thanks.

The entire game is balanced around teams of 5 (both the hardest PvE mode and the e-sport PvP mode). At most I could see dungeons where multiple teams of 5 have to cooperate.

Elite events have a similar function, no?

- guildhalls, that work in a similar fashion like your current home zone

Already planned.

- more minigames 

This is always welcome but there are already 30 in at release (5 per city). I'm sure that when new races are added (which will be added I'm sure), those races will have a capital which will also host minigames.

I personally wouldn't mind it but I think there are laws against these sort of things.

Meh, I dunno. I personally don't mind it if they sell things like weapon skins, dungeons, xp boosts etc. I myself will never pay for things like xp boosts and cosmetic stuff, only for services and content but I don't mind if other people can buy them. As long as someone who buys stuff can not become stronger than you can become without buying stuff.

From the videos i see. everyone is using the First skill %90 of the time. i hate it

Also i hate the skill/spell effects. you can't see anything from fire effects etc it looks like sht. that is all for now

why add 20 skills to do the job of 1? 

I see this as a great way to balance a game out in PvP. I also read that one skill is on a contant rotation if activated, its won't be like your spamming 1 all the time.. Its like a ranged / melee autoattack, but also has its own UI button..

In the videos almost no one dodges either. These are inexperienced (and sometimes downright stupid) players.

The skill/spell effect is being worked on.

More skills on the bar does not really make the game more fun. They could allow you to replace a skill or 2 on the weapon though, that woul work but after years of GW I can tell you that even there with 8 skills you can really do more than you can with the 30+ skills you have in games like EQ2.

It was like that before, but the alpha testers like the new way better. I dunno, either way works for me.

I don´t see the point of non combat skill sets. As for clothes there are RP clotes, but you need to change for them. Changing clothes as you start to fight makes no sense.

I think 2 is enough, more will be rather complicated for the players.

The armor will break if you die a lot It might need more, but I think we need to test it to say that for sure.

Forget that one. You already do pick some similar abilities when you specc. The AA system really makes a game inbalanced.

That is already in the game.

No way. That stuff makes the server community worse. A LFG chat channel would do the job as well.

Wouldn´t work. Some dungeons for 2 groups (10 players) is possible though. I am all for that, similar to Vizuna square in Factions.

Like grouping with them? Really, I get what you mean but we are talking about up to 100 players here and I can´t see how you would make that good without making the game either look bad or it would get in the way? Maybe if the color of the name got red when you are below 25% health?

those already are in the game. Some o them gets unlocked by dynamic events even. :)

No thankyou. Possible in the personal story mode though, but not in the mists or the open world. they could make a pet class that have a follower later, as long as it is bbalanced that would work but not stuff like that.

20 chains for every event ( might be a tad unrealistic but hell might as well state it)

A PvE center like darkness falls for WvW.  The winning team gets access.

A shrinking skill for the mesmer (there is one for the engineer)

Fully customizable companions.   ( the ones they have are kind of meh)

A few options or the ability to turn off your characters voice.( do to download size issues i would even pay money in the store for this.  305 bucks or so)

NMStudio... the comment about "a single faction"? What's the catch here? I, myself vote for "a single faction"! PvP has that 3-faction PvP, but in the setting you have something a bit more important to worry about than going to beat down more Charr, even though I would enjoy skinning more of those beasts.

No mounts? Yeah, nothing new, but WOO! Thank god, no MMO-mounts! Haven't been able to stand those ridiculous excuses for "mounts" after my very first ride back in Mount&Blade. Seriously, you people want more WoW-like mounts (Rift, LOTRO, EQ2, AoC and so forth) which defy all laws of physics and can circlestrafe-lollipop around you? Talk about ruining immersion! :/

What factions will those be though? Every race for himself? Besides Anet wants PvE to be completely cooperative and PvP to be completely seperate from PvE. Also, in lore, the races have bigger fish to fry than each other: Primordial dragons which rival the power of the gods.

Agreed, do it right or not at all.

But Jeff Grubb have said that they have been working on mounts so hopefully we might get at least an acceptable system later, just not at launch.

1. All the playable races have more or less formed an alliance / at least peace between them, and try to work together against these other threats, from centaurs to the great dragons. The problem here is this: PvP in The Mists makes sense, but WvWvW PvP really dosn't feel comfourtable until we get more info: Where, Why and How?

2. Precisely! No chance of such happening, just an innocent wish. But this was kind of the point of this whole thread, tell everyone what you want?

Yes, I understand what you said. My question was, what sort of factions would you suggest for WvWvW? I think the most important thing about PvP (both Structured PvP and WvWvW) is that it's fun, challenging, functional etc. Lore should be the least important aspect imo.

I thought the point was to tell everyone what would like to see added/changed in GW2 instead of what you like in mmo's in general.

to be honest there is not a lot i would change.    Its not my dream game or anything,  it just seems like most of the shit in guildwars 2 fits together and is what it should be.
