Recently we attended Gamigo's own convention in Hamburg, Germany and while there we got our hands on Drago Entertainment's Grimlands, a post-apocalyptic tour de force that you just might want to make room for on your most anticipated list.

Fallen Earth has already done this. wile the concept is always so damn cool it is so hard to make an mmo actually feel like an apocalyptic wasteland. add a few thousand people running arround farming the same spawns, a general chat channel with everyone spamming LFG and the whole thing ends up feeling more like an over crowded junkyard. MO with it's lack of general chat feels more apocalyptic then Fallen Earth ever did. |

brown the common color? No. Maybe it happened in NV, but F3 the sky was a tint of green, and colors in general were more muted than anything, not brown. Grimlands sounds a lot like Deadlands, and if you know what that is and you look at this picks your brain starts to wonder. Did they try to make a Deadlands mmo and fail to get the license and decide to switch gears to post apoc? That's what it looks like to me. The one guy is practically a cowboy, the buildings look oldish, obviously they can change some stuff, but generall the old west was a lot of space between settlements so it's not a massive conversion to make to a post apoc world. |

"...this is a hybrid sandbox/questing MMORPG..." All this and vehicles to boot. Sounds promising. And crafting sounds like it might be pretty involved too. Definitely on my radar now. |

I just don't understand how gamingo have a game under developement for 7 years? And another seemingly annoucned as 'next gen' (Otherworld) previewed yesterday (?) by MMORPG. They don't seem to have games that prints money, but popping up statements like this is just....weird. How much WoW could a WoWhater hate, if a WoWhater could hate WoW? |

Since most of yu dont understand, Gamigo its the publisher of both this one and Otherland, not the developer so what this means is that most part of the money used is from the developing company and not the publisher, probably what this means is that they use fewer money with this games meaning if fails they dont lose much if the games have a good public opinion they win good, so its a win win situation, the developers who want to get known are the ones with all the risks here. And about the game it seems nice if its F2P would be good to try, alot of games nowadays have cash shops without creating godlike player so P2P is already dying so good luck gamigo bring more games, hopefully good ones. |

Originally posted by guy232 Firstly you are comparing a FPS to MMO. Secondly the game isn't even released yet so i doubt you are in any position to tell us that Ravaged is a much better game. Thanks for the laughs though. |

This is promising. I'd really like a good post-ap MMO. FE never did it for me for several reasons: horrible models and animations, bland environments, stupid AI (and hordes of mobs respawning ultra fast), glitchy combat and a lack of interesting PvP being among them. This game looks much better and seemingly features some sort of territory control, which should be obligatory in any post-ap game imho. I just wish we could drop the "rust-coloured desert" look once and for all. Why would people have to live in the desert just because the world ended? |

Is a Fallen Earth with fun combat too much to ask for? Here's to hoping... "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever." - Noam Chomsky |
