Really nice new features. I wish they would have release the game just a little mode late and implent all this at launch.

But sadly I don't really want to pay again until they fix Ilum :/

If you had any brain, you would notice that not even WAR went F2P, and that was a disaster from day one, while TOR is a succesfull game. The fact that wowkiddies left after a coupel of months is just gravy

Or is the game going to check the best piece of eqiupment on your account, whether worn or in inventory?

Maybe going by valor would be better? At least you can't fake that.

 Ilum is a joke and no overhaul in site to fix that steaming pile...

New Operation? Hell, you ain't got the old ones to work correctly on any given day.. Fix a bug to create a bug (still no Master loot in EV on Normal)...

UI Customize? Should have been day one. Do you get more hot bars? Target of Target? One can hope...

New Flahspoint? Who does them now anyways? Most skip over them to get to 50 then just run normal evault to gear up since it's easier than a normal Rift dungeon....

New crafting? Ya, well before they release 1.2, they are releasing all kinds of rare crystals for sale in 1.1.5 making it so whne 1.2 comes out, most will already have their rare crystals and not need my Artifice skills.. Way to go!

Legacy? Wait, isn't this the same thing? No real end game challange, except the challenge of re-rerolling an alt to grind back up... 7 more times?

2 CE's cancelled subscriptions (wife and I).  Now in a wait and see mode.

And when you strip away all the new features you are still left asking yourself if you want to spend the next year or two online gaming the same way you spent the last?

Uhhh, what game are you playing?  housing already exist?  I can only assume your referring to the space ships which are uncustomizable with 0 addons of any sort and nothing unique about them.  Basically they are a way to access other planets.  I've never thought of calling them houses...lol thats being awfully generous to descirbe them as a housing feature.

I agree with this statement.  Just because they throw a bed in your spaceship doesn't make it a home.  We've seen housing implemented in various mmo already, instanced and noninstanced, that allowed for customization, display of trophies, etc.  Can anyone even go onto your spaceship?  The last time I tried to take a friend he could not enter my ship.

 

Yes someone else can go onto your ship. Even apparently travel with you to where you are going as well since a friend and myself did as such when questing. It's a selection under 'Preferences' that has to be selected if I recall correctly.

Is there tracking right now? Aside form Valor?

So, everyone starts at 0, earns ranks through winning and then you get gear based on those ranks? The note does say "ranked gear tiers", so that's could be new gear for WZ ranks. Though it would have to be better than BM gear to make those folks consider switching. And then everyone would just grind WZ to get gear and folks who did the grind for their BM gear will be p'd off.

Huh. Still doesn't quite make sense. And with 1.2 postponed until April I don't think we'll see any light shed on these details.

Honestly, reading these posts it makes it all seem a bit silly. A developer is actually improving and inputting more things into the game and it's a BAD thing? Since when did that make sense? You weren't happy with your original purchase? Fine. That's understandable. But acting as if they are doing something wrong by adding to their game and developing it is just short of ridiculous.

You even have someone complaining that patch 1.2 doesn't address the issues like crafting and gear when it clearly does and someone pointed it out. Yet they STILL complained? Sorry, some of you are complaining just to do so. Even if I didn't like the game I would be able to understand that them giving more to their playerbase is a good thing. I'm sick and tired of WoW and stopped playing it but can never deny that they didn't work on churning out more content for their fanbase and that's a good thing whether I love or loathe a game.

But I guess with someone it doesn't matter. Objectivity is not part of their equation. It's a 'Redrum' syndrome with them no matter what.

My veiw on this patch can be summed up in this video, and early Aprile, I am not sure anyone will be playing.

In what update are they going to improve the User Interface ? The current inflexible oversized UI is a gamebreaker for me.
