who cares about the tournaments, but i like what Magnum said. you do not help the mmo genre by not paying for AAA games and playing F2P crap (doing so only brings out more F2P crap), but by paying for those games you think are pushing the genre in the right direction. then you can say "these are the games i'm supporting to help the mmo genre forward". |

I also must agree. As for the OP - he's just trying to toot his own horn - thinks it makes him special or something. I'm sure MOST of us have stories about how long we've been around, how much we've spent, what games we considered a waste, etc. The difference being most of us are mature enoughto know that it really doesn't matter ONE bit :D! |

Years playing MMOs: 12 Years of Overall gaming experience: 29½ (Played my first video game, Tennis on Atari 2600, at the age of 2. Eat it, OP!) Years of home computer gaming experience: 20 (Includes PC, Apple IIc, and Tandy) Number of games played: More than the OP has probably ever heard of Favorite era of gaming: 8-bit console era Owned every console available in NA since the NES and several before then at some point. Yes that includes obscure ones like the TurboGrafX 16, Turbo Duo (still own), JVC X-Eye, Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, 3D0, Intellivision, Colecovision, and many others. Owned most hand-helds available in the US since the Game Boy. Including many obscure ones such as the NeoGeo Pocket Color, Turbo Express, and Atari Lynx. MMOs I've played going down the MMORPG.com game list (not just tried, but actively played at some point): Age of Conan, City of Heroes, City of Villains, Dark Ages, DDO, EQ, EQ2, FF XI, FFXIV, Guild Wars, Mabinogi, Nexus TK, Perfect World, Ragnarok Online, Rift, Runes of Magic, Vanguard, WoW. MMOs I've tried for a month or less: About the same number, but I dont want to go down the list again. Longest consecutive subscription to a single game: Final Fantasy XI, 2½ years
Did I forget anything? Do I win a delicious cake? (did Princess Peach "bake" it?) Man...I feel like a total geek after writing all that. Did the OP really think doing this makes him sound cool? Either way, I suddenly have the earch to browse ebay for some nice retro games. |

wtf is this post all about. im completely confused! is the OP really trying to make the point that the mmorpg genre has moved forward cause he's spent $150 on them?
If someone is talking in general chat in a language you dont understand, chances are they're not talking to you. So chill out and stop bitching about it! |

I spent more on expansions to EQ1 than the OP has in his PC gaming life. "I am not in a server with Gankers...THEY ARE IN A SERVER WITH ME!!!" |

So except for F2P games, you've never played an MMO for any reasonable length of time... ...and you consider yourself an MMORPG veteran? |

OP is a great troll, how do I know this? cause he made the OP and has not posted another post in this entire read. meaning he wrote this thinking he was the greatest then never came back to it cause he feels he proved his point.
when you start and thread and don't even actively talk in the thread you started then your trolling. |
