Will buy it, there is no other way. But, if someone dont like it or they dont want to buy it GW2, it is there right. And vice versa, let people play GW2 if they want to.No need for hostility. There are lots of mmos out there for everybodys taste. |

If D3 is announced to come out within a month or two after GW2 I won't be buying GW2 right away. Otherwise I will most likely buy it, although waiting 6 months for a cheaper price isn't out of the question.
Waiting at least a month after release and seeing how people feel is usually the best bet.
Nothing about GW2 screams "Must buy on release day" to me.

I was going to, then looked at it closely and noticed things I have seen before that don't work. The pvp system sounds fun, but again its all click and button smash ftw. If Planetside 2 wasn't coming out, I probably would get this for pvp alone (like the sound of the siege system) , but in the end ,it's another MMO pvp clicky fest, guess I am just done with that sort of game play as I get that in my current mmo. There are thou some elements of the pve that seemed interesting in the combat relationship to each other IE the fireball/arrow example that could be fun for a bit. The world interactive changing environment sounds fun too, but that reminds me to much of rift and warhammer, they are fun, but after a point they get old too and when the population drops they get abandoned leaving you the end game only, which for guild wars is pvp so still viable. In the end thou, the auto target thing is just to the topper and again if PS2 wasn't coming out I wouldn't have much to choose from , but fps/mmo = win for me, it did back in the day and now that the tech has caught up to the concept it will be epic indeed! Want to design your own coasters, flat rides and more? Always wanted that dream Theme Park? Look no further! |

I voted maybe. It looks interesting, and I have friends that intend to buy it but until I can try it on release nothing is guaranteed.
Anyone that thinks gameplay videos from before even all the beta testing is done (let alone the changes between beta and release) is exactly how the released game will play is deluded. Gamers can be a very gullible lot. |

I don't think I've ever watched these long "raw" kind of videos of a game pre-release before and then been shocked when it came out. I always had a pretty good idea. Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob? |

Originally posted by chaintm While persons opinion is their opinion, I do think you don't necessary understand the notion of "button mashing". Based on your post, every game would be considered a button mash at the minimum which can apply if you use such a simple definition. The mere fact that guild wars 2 has a lot of spells/skills that have a really high cooldown pretty much invalidates your claim that is a button mash. Ya, you got your instant spells, but that would be as far as you wil be able to call it a button masher. Going from some of the PvP videos, I doubt you would be able to button mash (spaming the first 2 skill/spell) your way to victory in PvP against a decent Player, maybe in PvE though. |

I was getting tired of games that make you click things and use abilities too. Then I realized iv never played a pc game where i didn't need to click something. I will def be buying gw2 as it seems right up my ally. I know many who where hoping for a wow clone gear grind raidfest wont tho. :P |

Voted maybe. I didn't much care for GW1 and I am sick to death of the fantasy MMO genre. So while I feel GW2 will be a good game, unless it turns out to be an amazing game I think I'll probably pass.

Even if it turns out to be not as fun as it is made out to be after some beta testing or trying out some demo myself, I would still buy it. Because I want to reward ANet for at least trying to innovate. I like their vision a lot, and it is seldom that experimental stuff like this turns out well 100% the first time. I want more games to be like this instead of just playing it really safe and just redo all the tried-and-true systems. So I will buy it just to reward the innovation and creativity, even if the actual game turns out to be not good. If there are others who think this way, I hope publishers and developers won't be so risk averse in the future. |

Already pre-ordered 2 copies...one for me, one for the wife and kids (good wholesome family entertainment!). Now, just playing the waiting game....impatiently! |

I will wait until it's been out a month or two, the hype is over and the whiners are gone. |

I DONT SEE HOW PEOPLE WONT BUY THE GAME!!! I mean, people who don't even like MMORPG games will probably buy this. Just works for all gamers, IMO |

I think everyone is going to buy it eventually just because there is no sub fee. That's how it went with GW1. |

I'll probably pick it up on release day (or close to it), although I don't plan on preordering or anything. Unless they have an absolute kickass collector's edition or something, I'm a sucker for those things. Also giving GW1 a try again, to get in the mood. Maybe I'll actually like it this time... |
