I'm shocked OP couldn't find a group with that winning personality...

I've never missed a single player game that I wanted to play in all the years I've been involved in MMOs.  Perhaps the failure here is the OPs ability to prioritize.

Peace~  You should have been mixing single player games in all along.  I have been playing/chasing MMO's for over a decade too, and sadly most don't hold me more than a month anymore because they are just boring and poorly designed.  That doesn't mean you can't linger around and be here when a good one finally hits.  All things in moderation my friend.

I don't take the OP's words to heart because I'm not like that in games, his A-hole comment seemed to be aimed at the A-holes he's met, not the entire community. It's no surprise many still take offense and play victim though.

Either way he's right the communities in these games have become toxic as have the little communities like this or on other forums. Too many people trying to be E-hardasses and leet-dudes. Half the time the discussion looks like the chat in a FPS, or console game.

This all started when they started maken carebear games.. they all need to go back to old school UO ! :P that way we can just pk and kill horse/drobe em till they quit.. there i solved all mmos problems.. without carebear all the weak would be deleted from mmos :)

Funny, one of the reasons I look for MMOs to play is because single player games today suck so bad to me.

To each his own I guess. Still, I doubt OP's 'tude (...lol I said 'tude) helped his situation any.

Once mainstream society gets hold of something it's only a matter of time before they devour it in their complete narcissism (the reason there is so much 'u suck!', 'lol i'm trolling you cuz you suck', 'my opinion is universal reality', 'I don't care as long as im happy', 'this game exists just so i can be an a**hole to people 24 hours a day' etc. etc.).

Did you know that narcissism is so common in modern society that it cannot be classified as a mental condition anymore? It is part of the accepted 'normal' state of mind at this point. Think about that.

Most of the type you talk about come here for some reason? Hey there are many great posters here as well so don't think I'm talking about you, the problem with the type the OP is taking about is they will think they are in your group.

I re-subbed swtor and am loving it mostly due to it being a single player game with a monthly fee i suppose. (Oppps, oh yeah you don't get banned for that anymore) I crack a couple jokes back int he day and got banned for it, so you know what, bye mmorpg you're banned from my traffic.

I've never left single player i enjoy both genres equally but one thing for sure is, allot of mmorpg players are...

Yeah I'm back but only to delete my account permanently. Not only am i banning mmorpg from my traffic I'm banning them from sending me emails. Take this as what happens when you go ban crazy (stomp on freedom of speech).

Go play some FPS in xbox, I heard they are a warm and welcoming community.

Because most of them ARE from FPS and console games!

  What's sad is that I've enjoyed all the games mentioned (single player) AND pretty much every major MMO since 1996.  Time management is your friend.

Calling everyone a-holes in the title is a start.

I see where OP is coming from but think he/she is overreacting a bit to much. I probably don't experience what OP experiences since the only online game I play is Guild Wars which is a CORPG and not a lot of people talk in the general chat unless if they are having a conversation with someone else in the area.

I don't think I've ever seen spoilt bratty kids in Guild Wars but I do see the odd troll.

Our community may be so quiet because we have so many hardcore PvPers who just want to dominate in RA and JQ.
