"SUBSCRIPTION CONFIRMATION" ... which kind of freaked me out since I havn't subbed for a month.

I checked and I'm actually not subbed.  

What's going on over there anyway?

Edit: It looks like a whole lot of people got this same email.  I'm guessing it's some kind of error since the date on my email is from my January sub purchase.

You haven't even given enough information to catch a sneeze with about that email so I guess you're going to have to go look into it yourself.

Ya, confused me a bit too. Mine is actually a receipt for my January sub month.

I got the same email as the OP, hurried over to their site to see that im still unsubbed ( which i just did last week even though i havnt actually played past the first month ) i was freaked out a little bit but my CC wasnt charged nor did i see any pending charges, i also removed my CC info from their site.

I edited to add a little more clarification, but it really wasn't confusing in it's original state. I have all the info needed: I got an info for a subscription confirmation that I did not make.  What's hard to understand.  I'm not alone, looks like others have gotten it too.

Sounds like a phishing scam.

I was getting emails about my SWTOR subscription before I even bought the game.

Don't click on the link, dont give them any personal info.

If you're unsure, browse directly to the web site and check for yourself, NOT through the link in the email.

Rumor is that the emails are a marketing ploy by EA to generat traffic to the website in hopes that a percentage of the people who visit to check if they are subbed, will resub or begin to sub.

Got that mail as well.

Seems like someone over there is messing up.

This is possible and at this point, wouldn't be shocking at all.

I wondered but I checked it out - No, this wan't phishing. It's legit...a legit error, but it was from BioWare

They need to count you for their March 31st numbers, not to worry, as soon as they do, they will discard you again. :)

Yeah, something about this whole thing smells fishy.  How did they accidentally force thousands of people to log into their swtor accounts to see if they are actually subbed or not...? I dunno :P

It was a copy of my actual January 19th reciept ... not likely phishing.  I'd post it but it has all of my sub info on it. :P  This was a legit screw up from Bio Ware.  Again, I went to the actual swtor site (not from the link - i'm not stupid) and  confirmed that I am indeed not subbed. 

EDIT: My wife got the exact same email form BioWare :P

I got this too. Has anyone figured out how to officially unsubscribe from this game? I have not been able to find a link anywhere. I have no playtime because my debit card expired and I have no intention of giving them my new card, but I am wondering if I am still incurring some debt to them or something. I can still acess the forums.

I'm done with EA and Bioware.
