2004-shutdown, currently in EVE. It's an ok game but it'll never replace SWG, for all it's bugs it was the one... |

Sorry for those who think SWG ended in 2011, that game died when the NGE was forced on the player base. As for what i am doing in the interim, i try out most any MMOs, none have come close to what SWG provided, i am very interested in GW2 though, the dev blog about the WvWvW PvP has gotten me very excited. Was considering TERA, but i dunno very on the fence with that game. The Secret World also has me very intrigued. Basically if you provide me with a decent World PvP environment where it means something, i think i will have a strong interest in it. Lolipops ! |

SWG ended and started playing SWTOR the next day. Gonna play TSW when that comes out and hopefully play that until The Repop, Dominus, or ArcheAge comes out. Or TSW could keep me hooked. SWTOR is fun but its not a long term game for me. |

Where am I headed? Definitely not SWTOR, or any MMORPGs anymore for that matter. Been playing alot of Skyrim, dusted off BF2, and playing Sins of a Solar Empire with the mod, "Sins of a Galactic Empire" for some Star Wars flavor. "I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." in no specific order
DDO/NFSW/WoW/SWTOR/APB:R/DCU:O/CoH/did try to get in to Fallen Earth but could not be arsed to open the ports needed
Or to put it simple... As far away from SWG and the remains of it's community as i can. Yeah it was a fun game and all but it is dead and gone.
But if you like the style, give Project Entropia/Entropia Universe a shot. You can invest a normal monthly fee and get tons of fun out of it and it is fairly livley in some points.. sure it has not lightsabres but otoh it has coats that sell for several hundra dollars.. real money. This have been a good conversation |

I cant recommend GW2 because op wants a real MMO, not some "max level in 3 days" game. Cant recommend SWTOR because its too linear and no sandbox. So here is hoping Archage is the answer. |

So really i will admit i first started SWG on release day and i was drawn to it because it was Star Wars, but what kept me playing that game was the mechanics, the Raph Koster influence on the whole game. While not a single game since right before the NGE has really held my attention like SWG did, i have tried several MMOs since. Nothing has grabbed my attention like the sandbox gameplay as SWG did. Themeparks just plain bore me to death, i have tried them all and lost interest in all of them in a matter of weeks/months.
If Raph Koster made a new game based around his ideas and not tied into a major "ip" i would jump on that game in a heartbeat. Maybe we could get him to start a kickstarter project ?
Anyhow i am waiting on GW2, TSW, Dominus, and eventually ArcheAge.
As a side thought here, if EvE ever implemented ship interiors and then ship to ship boarding and assaults i would join that game in a flat second, or if some space game did that. Space combat like SWG but individual players could lead assaults on other player ships..... such a dream of mine. Lolipops ! |

The great news about ArcheAge is when (if) they finally get a distributor, it's going to be a very polished game. The videos alone are amazing. It really shows how bland, empty and dumbed-down MMOs of today are, not to mention pathetic. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever." - Noam Chomsky |

Going to be trying out an indie sandbox called The Repopulation. Inspired by SWG and has some neat ideas. |
