from wiki:
dont get me wrong- I love D3 direction, and will play it Blizzard did an exceptional job with starcraft2. that said i just like to jab at their taunts and 'beta' promotion contests..this time frame just give many of us time to play other games out there. |

I'll say it again, RMT-AuctionHouse needs to be removed. It was removed for Diablo3's release in Korea because the government wouldn't allow it for Tax reasons.
This means it CAN be removed for the NA & EU release, or all together removed.

There is no shot of it being removed in the US or EU. |

Originally posted by Fadedbomb May I ask why? How does the RMT effect you? It is a optional feature that you can ignore. It was around in D1 and D2 and any other MMO you play. Its called gold farmers. What is the difference if Blizzard gives us a interface for the transactions or not? Its going to happen ethier in game with a interface or out of game. |

I'm in the CLOSED BETA. Even the latest CB only includes half of Act 1 with a level 13 cap (Normal Mode). HUGE CONCERNS:
The gameplay is great and the graphics are just fine. The story so far is a bit cheesy and childish, but the old voices of Decard Cain, Old Tristam, and the Barbarian (Time to Die) make it tolerable. Small changes I noticed that seem pretty cool:

I don't know how many people here posting have had the opportunity to play the D3 beta, but it is FUN. All of the other points about wanting to manage stat points, RMT auction house, etc mean nothing to me - playing through the beta (first 45 minutes of the game really) was an absolute blast. The latest release adjusted some skill aspects and gave a good demonstration to how runes will work - you now get to see how "customizing" your skills plays out with different runes. Do you want more damage, more range/AoE, etc? The interface for runes needs some work still, but the game is just flat out a pleasure to play. There will still be the prestige factor of finding "uber-rare" loot and showing it off; who cases that some people will buy that look from an AH? Some people hacked their ways to obtaining it in D2 anyway, so at least here it will be from legitimately playing the game to obtain these items. |

Originally posted by Suzie_Ford I'm not pleased at all, I think they're wrecking the game. It doesn't even feel like Diablo, it feels more like WoWablo. And now that they've jacked up the UI and removed rune drops it's good to go? I think not. They've been removing more and more of the mechanics that have worked in the past and what's left is a far cry of what Diablo is/should be all about. I'm a huge Diablo fan who has put thousands of hours in D1 and D2 and I will NOT be buying this watered-down Diablo wannabe. It is not Diablo anymore. If that means it's in good shape then by all means, release the steaming pile. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. Originally posted by Zeppelin4 Because there are people that travel, and would like something to do on their laptop while they're away from the internet and, since you clearly don't know, wifi (at least GOOD wifi) isn't always free. Then, there are people like me who live deep in rural areas that don't have reliable internet connections. I lose my interest everytime it rains, everytime there's rough winds, everytime there's snow, etc. I seldom go more than 10-15 minutes before it kicks back on, but it would interrupt gameplay and possibly cause me to lose progress. Let alone those occasions where the internet goes out for a day or so. So no, it's not like complaining you need a PC to play a PC game.
EDIT: What's with the timeline you guys are coming up with? D3 has been in development for almost if not over a decade. The first version was scrapped when Blizz North was taken in, and reworked into the newer version you have now. THAT version has been in development somewhere between 4-6 years now, I don't know exact dates. But the concept of D3 as it is, has been in development for a long time now. It is too much WoW influence for me. I will still play, but all I see with changes is pure dumbing it down or getting it ready for console. The game is not getting near enough budget or developers for what Diablo 3 should have gotten. They are not treating it like a smashing Blizzard IP. WoWablo is sadly way too close to truth. Total bummer, but i'll still play. I still have high hopes. |

reply to Talins post-
I did get a chance to play D3 at Blizzcon. that said it wasnt as deep as most beta key testers have played but i got the flavor of it - that it just seem like a rpg out of the Warhammer online franchise (which i love!) so i was like meh -its ok.-better than wow graphics. iam sure it respectively will have its hardcore players-maybe myself included. the build up of this game will have many dissapointed. itll have its limelight for the month- but another game will come along and replace it, this year we will see many great games beeing released. at this point-D3 is just piggy backing on the new year -the year of the dragon.

enjoy. Me, I am done with Blizz games. warcraft back in the 90s used to have a gritty edge to it. Blizz games are too cartoony/ pre-teenish for me. |

I'm sick about this TBH. I've been waiting for this game for TEN FRIKKIN' YEARS and what they're dumping on us is pure garbage by Blizzard standards...or at least what those standards used to represent. And with their latest garbage patch, they're making runes non-drops now? And the UI is totally for console and works like crap. It's pathetic! I'm not going to waste my money on this game unless they really turn things around quickly. Pisses me off. So sick of companies pulling this crap. I expect that out of most companies but I didn't expect this out of Blizzard. They should be ashamed to release this game in its current poor condition. Here's a quick sample of what other testers are saying: -Skill tree's are great but crappy skills break them? REMOVE! -Choosing Attributes breaks characters? REMOVE! Absolutely, 100% correct. They only thing they've left that resembles Diablo is rare drops, let's see how long it takes before they jack that up. Pathetic.

Originally posted by Zeppelin4 The difference now is that instead of combatting gold farmers, they've partnered with them. There will still be a flood of cheap epics on the market, but now, Blizzard gets a cut of what was once illicit sales. This is actually better for gold farmers because there was this little thing that most gamers possessed back in the day called common sense, which told them that giving out their credit card information to buy gold might be a bad idea. Now, the gold farmers are officially sanctioned so they'll have a huge new market to sell to. As to how that will affect people who don't wish to use the RMT shop, they are going to be hard pressed to find anything of high value on the in-game shop if they were looking to trade or buy for in-game gold. Why? Because everyone will be trying to make a buck on anything rare or better. The in-game AH will be relegated to the role of a flea market for trash. |
