I dont do betas anymore.. I prefer to wait untill the game goes live to play a game. I also think closed betas are a great way to recieve feedback, and they should really listend to some of the feedback to make changes that are sorely needed. However I think Open betas have actually hurt the MMO market.

Most beta testers arent looking to help in development by finding bugs, or issues. Instead they are looking for a free game..

Shame really,  with a game like this its likely very hard to build the right community for testing.  Hype tends to bring out hoopleheads.
