I propose a new thread section where we could put all the threads along the lines of...

• "MMOs are failing" and all the, all too numerous, doom & gloom threads
• all rosetinted back in the day -threads
• "Themeparks suck and sandboxes are awesome because I say so!"
• "WoW sucks because I say so!"
• themeparsk are a spawn of Satan
• sandbox MMOs cure cancer
• harsh death penalty makes any and every game better
• socializing is dead but I refuse to use Teamspeak or any other VOIP program
• world PvP should be allowed everywhere in every game and carebears should learn how to live with it
• "Today's games are not challenging enough "followed by
  • grind = challenge
  • harsh death penalty = challenge
  • 2 hours to organize a raid = challenge + socializing
• the regular once a month pleading that people should try MMO X (mainly Vanguard) again

I want an own section for people who want to complain about what other post :)

Can we move the entire ToR subsection there as well? If so, I'm totally down.

 Id recommend adding:

-Posts for angry pvpers commenting on the lack of technique or finesse of players in youtube videos (omg , a clicker, wht a noob...)

-Posts asking about guild wars 2 raids or lack of.

-Posts starting, finishing or consisting solely of the word "Meh"

-Anything related to NGE,  Smedley , his family or household pets.

-Posts asking for house instancing in any game that doesnt have it, from Pong to PacMan.

• "MMO's are super succesful", 10 million is the new 12 million, 400k is the new million!
• all "it was so bad back then that i played for years, SUFFERING!!!" -threads
• "Sandboxes suck and themeparks are awesome because i say so!"
• "WoW is perfect, because i say so!"
• sandboxes are a spawn of Satan
• themepark MMOs cure cancer
• harsh death penalty makes every game suck
• socializing is alive! every time i call someone a noob or yell at some unknown guy i feel socialized!
• there should be no pvp at all, except of duels, we dont need pvp players at all!
• "Todays games take too much time" followed by
  • grind = unbearable
  • death penalty = unbearable
  • 5 minute wait for a lfg group = unbearable
  • claims of having life and not caring about progression and anger about not being the best in the game
• replyes containing "i like it this way, so it is good design, every game should be like this"

Mostly more gloom threads on this site.  People are here generally because they're not enjoying an MMO currently, so you can expect lots of posts from people who want to play sandboxes since the only hugely popular one is commonly labeled as a game for kids (the other ones have developers that are crazy vikings, not good at bugfixes and can't communicate with their playerbase, or just straight up liars - really sucks to be Theia right now).

For those that enjoy themepark games, there is a lot of choice out there already, so themepark supporters are not a very common sight (they're busy enjoying the game). 

MMORPG.com doesn't really reflect the majority of MMO gamers anyway.  Most forums don't.  When people are given a survey after they call a customer service rep / try out a new thing, it typically never gets filled out unless the person feels that the service was extremely good or extremely bad.  It goes the same with complaints and praise.  There's a middle ground to be found if you read in-between the posts, but you may have to go through a lot of pro-sandbox posts due to the current imbalance.

Keep a level head and you'll be fine.  Don't post in threads that are obviously baiting themeparkers - they are being posted often because they are running out of fish.  Don't feed the trolls.  Don't make a thread saying something positive about WoW unless you're expecting to get flamed or are just trolling.  Don't respond to Banaghran either - he's like me, but doesn't do it with stylish wit.

Challenge every person that says 'player skill' to a 1v1 in Quake.

Oh and troll Cuathon, Wizardry, and every other account that is younger than yours whenever you can.

You are correct ofcourse and I am well aware of type of players that mostly inhabit MMORPG.com, but still I like to point out the threads that seem to appear regurarly and always from a handful of topics.

There's a half a dozen new doom & gloom threads every week - or about some other dead horse issue. And that is depressing.

Yea, and I want a section where people who complain about other posts can go.

I would add;

• Pointless threads started by posters don't get what they post is as boring as those posts that they try to look down on and insist on talking about other posters, rather then games, as if they are superior (despite just having created a no value thread that just sneers at others).

Sounds like a not-so-cleverly hidden way of screaming "Stop complaining about my style of game!".

Why so inflamed?  This was obviously just an attempt at humor. People take these things much too seriously.

Why not try to start interesting and fun discussions yourself instead?

Complaining about the quality of threads is the one you missed. The way to make something better is by acting by example, not complaining on everyone else. Most great leaders in history knew that.

Please add:

• The current crop of MMOs is horrible due to:
  • Publishers who are too greedy to fund anything but shameless WoW clones
  • Developers who are too lazy and stupid compared to the developers of 1st gen MMOs
  • Players who must be really stupid because they like games that I don't like

Apparently you like the WoW clone CRPG genre, thats cool, but you don't have to rain on everyon else's parade who share your strange taste.
