In addition all of this, will there be AA or RP's (WP's?) of any sort. I think EQ2 (and EQ) has a great Alternate Advancement system as a way to really customize your character's abilities. DAoC did Realm Points, which was an advancement system where you gained points by killing players from other realms. Perhaps GW2 could do World Points (or whatever you want to call it) in the same way to really encourage players to get out there and participate in seige battles and WvWvW competition.

Originally posted by Telondariel Still not sure about any Alternate Advancement system. The Traits system can possibly fill that role, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Just check into the GW2 forums this week for any info on Traits and of course WvW beta footage. |

Originally posted by dinams Yeah, it would be funny to somehow scale an enemies walls and knock off someone who is bombarding your side. Or even a Thief can use Scorpian Wire and pull guys down. Oh the possibilities. |

This sounds unbelievably, and I mean unbelievably sexy in theory. Srsly. All I gotta say is, if this turns out to be what it says, I feel sorry for my girlfriend whom I'm about to pop the question to over the next few months. She'll never see me. :p
That being said, we've seen one game that generated an insane amount of hype and failed to deliver. (TOR, I'm looking at you!) if nothing else, it's refreshing to see an MMO innovate and think. This is what I'm reminded of. The GW2 developers are Nick Naylor:
