The Dino Storm team has posted a new developer diary that includes a wicked new trailer showing off mounted combat. Players can mount up on a variety of dinosaurs including Parasaurolophus and Styracosaurus. Most awesomely, the final scene shows off an epic battle with a Tyrannosaurus Rex!

The closed beta for Dino Storm will kick off on February 28th. You can sign up for testing at the link above.

Kind of brings back the kid in you, doesn't it!? I taught 2nd grade for years and our biggest science unit was dinosaurs so this just makes my heart sing! :)

Man im really enjoying what some compagnies are trying to bring to the game market... Those little game, even if not Broadly popular, Offer gameplays that big Game makers wouldnt bother/risk Making.

ill be keeping an eye on this one from now on.  Thank you MMORPG !

Fuck yeah. I used to watch the Dino Riders VHS episode 1 when I was little. I never saw any other episodes until much later in life. 

If they ever make a Dino Riders game/mmo, they need to have some separate minigames where you get to build stuff with the Tyco Super Blocks, drive the Aero Turbo Hoppers, and race the Zero Gravity Cliff Hangers. Those commercials were ridiculous.

genius, i know the game wont sell, but i will surely try it

Blocky animation with poor turning emphasis (ie: they spin on a dime), and no real showing of the game other than the same model human riding on a handful of different dinosaur models coupled with random combat with the same animations & weapons.

Proof of concept maybe, but certainly not something to show people to get their interest peaked. Remove the dinoaur models and what do you have?

I'll wait until I see ACTUAL gameplay reveal rather than some shoddy combat video that's obviously pre-Alpha :)!

This looks cool, but what about a standard Wild West MMO? I think that Red Dead proved there is a place for a western genre.
