This game looks so promising... and because of that and the rule that any MMO that looks half decent is going to be a clunker, I'm sure it will be crap. No, seriously, it looks great and if it truly has an open sandbox feel with a very minimal themepark wrapper, I will be overjoyed. I've just grown so used to being disappointed by this genre I have a "I'll believe it when I see it" kinda approach... and by "see it", I mean "play it" of course. |

Sorry I just dont know what it is to be so enthuastic about it. Underwater gameplay looks to me, the most un-innovative idea, since GW2 first brought it up and want to make it a little different. It just seems to be so clunky, in ArcheAge. Maybe the gameplay feeling will be a different. They should add a whole new quest-pvp-pve-evolve-mechanic instead of feeding this little, of what it looks to me are, just excuses like "We desperetly need to pull out something, anything, new out of our sleeve - or we can digg our own grave". This is not innovative. Building your own fauna and house everywhere, this is innovation.

At this point, even this late in closed beta games are under information lock... XL Games has let beta testers post videos, and share any information on forums. They aren't censored at all. I understand the dissapointment from past games that you were exctied about, because I've been there too. The difference is that XL Games has made promises, they've let us see everything openly, beta testers have shown and told us that these promises are true and implemented. What's there to be skeptical about? I've talked to plenty of beta testers and they say the game itself is solid, and although not all of the land mass has been released yet, all of the features promised and ones we don't even know about yet have been implemented and are being tweaked. So the game is even larger than promised..... Pretty much all they have to worry about now is tweaking the siege system so that it's self sustaining and balancing the different skill trees. I do enjoy the cricism in ways! It definately means people are sick of the traditional games. Half put together games that aren't ready for realease, and games devs that don't implement anything they promise, and the millions of WoW clones. |

A week ago or so there was a poll on GW2 forums about underwater content with a video with fighting some fish or sumsuch. My response was that I hate underwater combat ever since Everquest and that I can only enjoy underwater content if it's less combat (fighting annoying fish every few meters) and more of an exploration with underwater treasures and stuff . Then I saw this video... I have a feeling that AA will be the best MMORPG ever made, a true new generation. I care about your gaming 'problems' and teenage anxieties, just not today. |

I keep getting the feeling this game will grab all the lost souls(sandboxers) out there and be quite succesful for a long time to come. |

ArcheAge is easily the most interesting and appealing game out there right now. I cannot WAIT for this game to hit North America. Pleeeease let that be this year! ;D |

I've watched a lot of AA videos and each one of them has definitely spiked my interest. It's crazy to think of all the features they boast to have in this single MMO. 1) Player Housing / Farming 2) Guild Cities / Castles 3) Open Sandbox World 4) Extreme Class Customization 5) Land / Sea Conflict 6) Sky Gliding 7) Extreme Environment Interaction ( Climbing / Swinging / Swimming / Diving ) 8) Deep Sea Treasure Hunting 9) Core PvP Elements 10) Core GvG Elements ( Castle Sieges ) The only thing I haven't seen an indepth video on would be the crafting system. If AA comes close to having a crafting system anything like SWG, then I will have no choice but to throw the rest of my games away, cause I won't ever need them again. Currently Playing: LOTRO - GW2 - TSW Waiting For: EQN and Camelot Unchained cause Mark Jacobs is a friggin genius. |

When theres no yellow brick road, the simple minded themepark players just cant decide what to do. I think of them like an old computer, it works good when running one program but if you try to multitask programs your going to lock it up bigger than Dallas. Waiting for:ArcheAge |

I just hope there isn't any attempt to 'westernise' it more than language translation. As the saying goes "Build it, and they will come."
