Different people react differently to different situations. I'm neutral to the entire argument, because I could really care less what the race looks like. As far as I'm concerned, take the race out of the game. Not because I find it offensive, but because I'm tired of hearing people bitch about it. The game is fun, I'm playing a Baraka Lancer. Almost my entire guild is made up of Castanics, with the exception of me (Baraka) and the guild leader (Aman), and I don't think there's a single Elin in our guild.
I understand both sides of the argument. It is a noble pursuit to prevent desensitization. I understand many people (not just Americans) will not like the association of sexuality with video game characters who appear to be young girls, good for you for standing up for what you feel is right. Then there are people who disagree with you, whatever their reasons may be. Their pursuit for the prevention of censorship of a cultural norm is just as valid as your pursuit for censorship.

Not to point out the obvious, but an Eiin is NOT an underage little girl. More then likely its some big dude on the other end playing a killer toon, if you insist on relating a geme to reality. I do understand though that some people will be upset and think an Eiin might be the "gateway" to pedophelia, much like so many think weed is a gateway to heroin. I guess the real question is why does a females body, regardless of her age, have to be sexualized. Even naked women are human beings as are naked little girls, the decision to sexualize them is not natural and is in fact a reaction to the indoctrination you have recieved through traditional institutions that serve to only perpetuate this patriarchy where females are somehow responsible for mens reactions to there bodies.
If you say that you are obsessed with sex and any female form in any manner causes you to have nasty thoughts, maybe you should thik about correcting your thought process instead of blaming the individual for having a body.
Thats what it comes down too? Could a child not walk around naked without someone thinkng about sex?
My souse and I spend most of our time half naked, and there is no constant compulsion to have sexual intercourse.

tnh its a game and those are game characters . if you would not go too into the game and mix it with reality your fine but what i dont understand some of here in this forum past posts are taking pixelated characters waaaaaaaaay too seriously. and if game encourages some individual to do something bad outside the game wich have been influenced from inside the game have problems or simply is too young to understand the difference of virtaul world and real world. or simply just frakking dumb. period. |
