best thing about the game is you can play it how you want to a degree. yes its a VERY soloable game however it does reward the hell out of you to play in a group and because of the companion system you are not forced to be either in a full group or solo.
(now this may not hold true at the endgame)
but while leveling my little group (3 people) have been able to clear just about every flashpoint (dungeon) heck we have been able to do it with 2 people and 2 companions.
I know the "old school" think you should be forced to group in order to make any sort of progress but thats just not a realtiy in MMOs anymore. in SWTOR you are given a great deal of incentive to group with others without being forced to do so. |

Originally posted by DrDream Do you like Bioware games? Did you like Dragon Age or mass effect 2? If so then buy the game. Do you play 8 hours a day, want a fleshed out pvp experience and aren't proactive in getting groups or don't belong to a guild but you must be in a group as much as possible?
Don't buy the game. |

The game is a lot of fun OP and I think you will enjoy it if you give it a shot. This forum is just a bad place to come for information about games since it is almost entirely filled with MMO burnouts who hate everything but sandbox games that don't exist. In other words, they hate on every game because they can't find any game they actually enjoy. It's quite sad... Try the game and form your own opinion. It is definitely worth the price even if you don't end up subbing long term. |

Only time I play shallow theamparks is when they are free to play.. They hold my attention spawn for max one Month and Im not forking up hard cash for 4 weeks of game time I can get for free someplace ells... Im not the target audaince for SWTOR.. sorry I dont play MMOS for fun.. I play them Quote "To crush my enemies see them driven before me and hering the lamatations of thier woman" and to be able to do this I must be able to HURT you ingame, that means destroy your itmes, delevel you, or BLOW you up, after you spend 1 weeks game time trying to get that new brand ship... F.u.c.king and scamming others is why I play MMOS.. and no SWTOR dosent have those mechanics so I have to stick with EVE... Most fun me and my friends ever had was when some dude near cruma tower (linage2) died and droped his Armour and we took it.. he whined like a little bitch.. then another dude shows up and says he is the First dudes father IRL and tells us to give it back.. We laugh them in the face and tells them to go away... Then they attack us going Red we kill them and they drop even more stuff.. that we take ... THAT MY FRIEND IS FUN GAMPLAY hahah |

Originally posted by DrDream Even IF you beleive all the haters and the game is as bad as THEY say it is. If you compare this game to single player games or console games. Its definitly worth picking up for $60 and playing a month. You would get as much enjoyment if not more then most otehr console games in that month just playing the class story(s) out. |

bottom line, you have to try it to know. some people love it, some hate it..
i am not faulting anyone for liking it, but i didn't last my entire free month. i enjoy crafting , the crafting here is very stupid, you don't even do it actually. i enjoy diversity and being a little unique, there is none of that here. i enjoy open worlds and having a choice on what to do when i log in. here there is no choice. you go do the quests and missions that match your level until you level up.

But it equally amazes me how poor people and women can vote republican....c'est la vie, je crois |

They have a lot of new content planned for the next few months so there is a lot too look forward to. If you've liked any of Bioware's previous games and like MMOs I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. |

I cannot presume to know what others think or what you want. I personaly am enjoying myself. I take time to enjoy the cutscenes often escaping to watch it again because I enjoy them. I love the storyline and I enjoy the game. I enjoy my operative best I think and perhaps my Sith Juggernaut , Commando and my personal favourite snarky smuggler. I do not know why I do not really mind the shortcomings may be because I have played Bioware games before and for me the story reigns above everything else plus I play with my husband . Also I love just looking around or helping people or just chatting with others about Star Wars.

It's an example of the start and what not.
Also long as you aren't looking for pvp or something completely different from WoW gameplay wise but story wise you should like the game honestly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns-IIn-DG-c Try to argue this please. Oh also if you quote me and it's to argue my point, if I don't respond it means I haven't been corrected by you and/or I haven't seen it. Remember I don't mind admitting I am in the wrong. Take care :D |

If you like BioWare games is a must. If not you should save your money.
Everything that makes BioWare games better than average is in SWTOR, everything that makes BioWare games worst than average it is there also. |

This game has a backward MMO effect.
With most MMOs, the game starts out slow and it takes you a long time to find the really good parts.
In SWTOR, the game starts out great and the more you play, the more you realize how poor it really is. SWTOR is the greatest mmo ever! |
