but which is the better game? SWTOR or SKYRIM? Don't bother saying 'They're totally different games' because I am asking you to rate your enjoyment of them as games not as types of games.

Skyrim, that's a rhetorical question.

Skyrim doesn't have lightsabers. Also, pretty much everything about Skyrim's UI is crap. I know that it is because they designed it for a console first but I don't count that as a valid excuse for why my PC game's interface was almost unusable. SWTOR's strength is not in its UI (which is still being tweaked) but it is much better than Skyrim's. |

I've enjoyed them both but had more play time on TOR, so i guess i'll vote for it on that factor. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

It is sad to say butSkyrim has mroe content, more replayability, better quality and less buggy. There is not a question which is a better game. Both are single player gmes but Skyrim feels much more like a MMO. |

Originally posted by Zippy This is a ridiculous comment. SWTOR is not a single-player game. I'm so tired of people saying this. Where is the multiplayer in Skyrim? Last I checked, there is NONE. Also, SWTOR has MUCH more content than Skyrim does. There are considerably more quests and a MUCH larger map in SWTOR. I like Skyrim a lot, but your comments are borderline insane... |

Originally posted by Zippy just because you played SWTOR as a single player game doesn't mean it is one. I am grouped constantly either with friends or a PuG.
thats the best thing about SWTOR is you can play it how you want. you can play the game completely solo ... just like every other themepark MMO out there however SWTOR goes out of its way to give you incentives to group.
as for the original question i still think Skyrim overall is the better game, simply because the world is freaking amazing. but that doesn't mean SWTOR is trash its a very good game as well. |

Originally posted by Fennris So you're saying your mind is incapable of adapting to situations you're not used to? That's too bad. I switched from PS3 Skyrim to the PC because of the graphics quality and I am having no problem whatsoever with the UI. Also you can download a mod that makes the UI better, but I didn't bother yet. It's really not near as bad as you think. Back on topic: Skyrim is a better game, I suppose. But why bother bringing it up? Skyrim and SWTOR are two entirely different genres. Just because Skyrim has an MMO feel with VO acting doesn't mean anything because it's a single player game, so there's a lot of technical hurdles, situations, limitations, etc., that SWTOR would have to go through simply because of it being online, having a large amount of people running around rather than one, etc. So, this entire thread is pointless, like 90% of the threads on this site. |

There are people who even think about this? I mean there is absolutely nothing in which is SWTOR better than Skyrim (graphics, content, depth, gameplay, explorable wise) |

Skyrim, easy. But then I dont expect the same immersion from MMO's for obvious reasons (all those pesky players running around me:p ). Still SWTOR did a good job. I really liked Hutta on my Bounty Hunter. |

Originally posted by Robsolf I think you should still try it. I didnt like Oblivion that much, but I love Skyrim. Somehow the auto lvling of mobs in Skyrim is a lot better done then in Oblivion. In Oblivion I hated to see highway bandits wearing glass armour, it messed with my immersion. Oh and I hate, really hate Skyrim's UI. It is slow and very unreliable for mouse. I also don't like SWTOR's UI btw. It is quite bad for a MMO UI. Oh and I dont buy the Skyrim's UI is made for console argument excuse either. Still Skyrim's awesomeness makes more then up for it imo. |

In my opinion a dumb question because it's a question of what constitues enjoyment. Sure I loved Skyrim, but once I had finished the main quest and the other questlines I wanted to do, I considered the game "finished". I go back and mess around once in a while, but it doesn't give me the same pleasure now as it did when it was new and undiscovered. This is typical of my experience of single player RPGs (ME, ME2, DA:O and Witcher 1 and 2 being the same). SWTOR is different because as an MMO it should provide enjoyment over a much longer period. There should be no point when you consider it "finished". Enjoyment comes from being in the world, progressing your character, playing with others etc. So I could never compare them, because it's a different kind of enjoyment. Whether SWTOR provides the kind of enjoyment it should as an MMO is another matter... |

SWTOR not even close anyone who has played the crap version of Skyrim on ps3 cannot possibly think it is better than SWTOR.Bethsada is the funcom of sprpg. They make tons of big promises and then deliver the buggiest pieces of junk to the market and then depend on there pc mod community to fix there bugs problem is they couldn't do that on ps3 go read the ps3 Skyrim forums sometime and see how many ppl have had there hdd burn up or there entire system to do the game hard locking there systems. |
