must admit i did see this one and wondered, but.. the more i read about it, the less there seemed to be, i really don't see this one comparing to Skyrim at all, it just looks like another 'churn' game, only a really expensive one. I could only see me buying it once it hit the platinum version kind of thing where they sell it cheap on steam for £5 or something.. for the moment though, i just don't have time to play a game with so little actual appeal. |

I was stoked enough about this game I took the hour drive to pick it up at the Bellingham, Ma. Gamestop so that Curt Schillings and RA Salvatore would sign them. Ended up buying two copies both signed. 1 for PC and 1 for 360 :P
Wish Todd McFarlane and Ken Rolston were there to have signed it, but it was ok since they gave us a crap ton of free RedBull lol.
woot woot. |

There is 1 problem I saw with this game so far.. the story, characters.. they are so incredibly boring. R.A.Salvatore must be overhyped imo... maybe it's better later on. |

i think before buying this game, people should go watch the gameplay vids on youtube.. highly enlightening imo.. and another good reason not to buy (not at its current price at least!) if anything i would call this game 'retro' as the graphics etc, seem a bit 5 years ago at the very least. |

Gamespot's review: The Bad:
Completely agree. But it might be better we never know.

You obviously missed the wink. The demo was ok-ish at best, definately not worth 60 bucks. Funding should not be a problem for a company the size of EA ... so why 60 bucks i ask you?

Gah! I can't play as a dwarf but there are 2 playable elves?
Hmmmm, guess I should have researched before stating I'd pick this up later.

No elves! Dwarfs fo life, yo! I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil |

I had the opportunity to play this game for 2 hours at an EA event: it's great. Not like Skyrim but like everything a fable game should have

Originally posted by TwilightEdge I haven't read anything of his in recently but in years past Salvatore was an awesome writer. The story for the game however does start out a bit RPG generic but gets a bit better later on, nothing mind blowing though. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

Originally posted by Kabaal I dont know how much of R.A.s voice is apart of the game were getting. You have to remember that this WAS a MMO deleloped by another company. Im sure his presence felt throughout the game though.
All this is to set up there MMO Copernicus and its goin to be in that game where you see Todd and R.A trully shine. But with anything in this genre anymore were all goin to have to wait and see what happens. |

Originally posted by elocke or, you know, they liked it more than skyrim, oh wait i forgot, clearly if anyone likes something different than you they must have something wrong with them, man some people really think highly of themselves. Originally posted by 77lolmac77 And if you think that game prices should stay the same forever YOU'R delusional, and clearly dont know much about buisness/economy/inflation. Originally posted by idragon clearly if someone likes a game you dont they were paid off, funny, how pretty much every person that posts crap like that acts like they were paid to slam games.
Originally posted by Phry well clearly if its not the most advanced graphical game out there it must look 5 years old, oh wait, no it doesnt, it looks/runs better than the witcher which is 5 years old, and looked pretty good for its time.
Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling" |

Meh. Still waiting for the game to actually release here (and I purchased mine on steam). Two more days to go before it unlocks... - Beregar |

Uninstalled it 15 mins later because of the camera. I will not play this game again before the camera is fixed. I want to be able to zoom out and I want to be able to control the camera properly. That just destroyed the game for me in 15 minutes.

in other previews i have read, that this game is pretty linear. so more comparable to games like Dragon Age 2 than an open world like Skyrim. played: Everquest I (6 years), EVE (3 years) |

Bugs me, too. Very console-ish. Can't even zoom in and out, when I feel like I really want to go into first person, because my character is blocking half my view. Seems like it'd be the perfect game for a setting, where you can be in 1st person when running around, and then automatically zoom out to 3rd when in combat.. but there are no settings for anything like that at all, not even a mouse zoom. Or even a way to turn off the extremely excessive motion blur, without turning off all post-processing. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Originally posted by UsulDaNeriak It is linear so far. Haven't played much tho, 3-4 hours in. My only complain that the game offers close to zero challenge even in the hardest difficulty. I just hope it gets better later on. |
