Originally posted by nomatics856 I used to play single player games all the time. However, I started to move to MMOs for two reasons. 1. the game play in single player games continued to get shorter and shorter 2. the worlds are bigger and I like exploring.
I think you will find with your current single player game that although its great fun right now, the game will be over soon if you have not already completed it by the time you read this note.
does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Originally posted by SEANMCAD I also noticed that SIngle Player console games lack flavor in the PS3/360/Wii generation. it seem like Graphics took the title from Gameplay, now days.
if a Game has bad graphics, but good gameplay, than the whole game is Bad. that seems to be the view of things now days.
also all RPGs now days has to be some massive Story Telling, or else it gets rated bad. what happen to all the Hack and Slashers like we had during the PS1&2 generation. What about all the Iconic games like Maximo, and Megaman? these games vanished.... yet were better than most crap now days. Hey I had more fun playing "Dot Hack" on the PS2 than I do most RPGs on my PS3. Hey I even had more fun playing Halo 1&2 than I do playing CoD MW2&3 and Killzone 3.

Originally posted by MMOExposed story telling games drive me insane! I have a good DVD collection with amazing series like Rome and The Wire for that kind of stuff. I liked Morrowind, I come in, immediately explore, read quests if I want to not if I dont want to. friggin HUGE world to boot.
I accept no less. does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Megaman was killed by capcom because its creator resigned. Thats why megaman legends 3 was halted( was already a demo ) and megaman online was cancelled an its why he looks like crap in capcom vs tekken

Originally posted by nomatics856 A singleplayer game like DA or Skyrim is played a few weeks. A MMO is designed to be played for a few years. So yeah, single player games are often more entertaining short term. SWTOR is trying to do the single player thing to a MMO but I am not sure that is such a wise idea, what is fun a short while tends to get repetetives after a while. |

Originally posted by nomatics856 Now I loved Dragon Age, but I don't quite understand this point about interaction and socializing--unless you consider talking to computer bots "socializing," in which case you may want to reconsider some aspects of your life :p |

Why is it sad? Everyone has their favoriate pass-time and preference on entertainment. Lots of people find watching Avatar more entertaining than playing COD. Many find playing Dead Space more entertaining than reading John Grisham. Why is it sad? |

Dragon Age: Origins is an overrated and terrible game. It's very very short too. Any MMORPG > Single player game. |

Really? I found DA:O super tedious and bland (mostly due to a plodding combat system with weak ability design.) The ME series and DA2 however were all great games which cut out the tedium while leaving the most enjoyable parts intact (although ME1's mining was a little tedious...but also pretty short.) |

Agreed DA2 and ME were far better |
