OK so not technically a piece of MMO news, it still makes the "importance" cut: The Lord of the Rings series of books (and movies for the great unwashed masses) has had an enormous influence on the genre. So, without further ado: Geek fans everywhere REJOICE! Your prayers have been answered in the form of recently spotted Lord of the Rings LEGO figures that will be unleashed on the world soon. Gizmodo spotted these bad boys at London's Toy Fair. Better start clearing that spot on your shelf! Associate Editor: MMORPG.com |

Hahaha! This is going to sound uber dorky, but I was huge into Legos when I was a kid. I had a few of the 80s castles and the huge pirate ship. Very fun. I might collect these just to be nostalgic. |

Speaking as a 36 year old who still buys transformers (ok my 4yr old boys is a poor excuse) I can honestly say my biggest issue there is stopping my wife from already buying him legolas. Looks like the hobbits & Dwarf aregenuinely shorter too, nice! |

Originally posted by sjeslis I honestly can't think of any other reason to make these. I've seen preliminary pics of the LotR Lego sets and they are.....meh. Nevertheless, I'll probably buy them just for these sweet figures. I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil |
