I played games like eve which was fun just couldn't into but I love the fight for control of systems and PvP actually gives you a point. I also played Tribal wars for like 5 years several worlds, dominated control with my tribe which was my favorite game to play but with RL I couldn't put in the time it deserved. I was looking into Tera which seemed cool, but I really just want an online experience that would bring in maybe sandbox or anything relating to what i've played before. Good Game |

You could throw DAOC into the mix too although it's an older title. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever." - Noam Chomsky |

well Eve Online I guess, but you'd have to learn the ropes and join a corp for that. I beleive there's a huge territory war going on right now somewhere in the Eve space |

Lineage 2 if you are part of a clan or alliance that takes castles I know there are forts or some such in Dark Fall. Aion though you'd have to get on a balanced server. Also, the forts are sort of made for "flipping" them so they don't seem to have the longevity like Lineage 2. Warhammer, I suppose though they also are made for flipping.

I'd do castle sieging too, I was thinking dark fall or something like that would be fun to play. I liked Eve just not a huge spaceship battle person. Good Game |

Darkfall is fun but be ready for serious ganking/griefing and probably never catching up to the vets stat-wise. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever." - Noam Chomsky |

World of tanks is an arena game. 15 players on each side are thrust into a small arena and fight. That's the whole game. They tried to combine it with area control but you still play the same thing. The game engine doesn't allow for any sort of persistant world and never will. Battleground Europe was ok at one time I think. Most of the time is spent traveling and the game comes down to trying to sneak as close to the enemy as possible. That's hard when players can hear your truck or tank coming from 5 miles away. |

Hehe...or crawling for 20 min from bush to bush eventually trying to get into an enemy town just to have your screen go red from a single enemy shot, then start over again. I also remembered fighting over a town for 3 hours + and capping it, then go to bed finding out the next morning the same town and 5 others were capped in about 5 min by the US primetime guys ;) Battleground Europe was epic sometimes though. I had fun, its just too dated atm. |

It is currently only still in development but you might want to keep an eye on Mechwarrior Online. It may have what you seek. |

Warhammer online has a lot of castles sieging, but they are made to change hands often and you never really own any territory. every few hours, when the sieging window opens, the opposite factions tries to take control of it. it's very rinse and repeat. it is much like Abyss fortresses in Aion.
the only games that actually lets a guild own territory/keeps/towns for as long as they can defend it are Drakfall, EvE, Mortal Online, as far as i know. Age of Conan also has fortresses that guilds can own and build up wile enemy guilds get a chance to bid to be able to siege it once a week. of course in order to be part of a siege in AoC you first need to be subbed (F2P doesnt have that option), you need to be part of a guild that actually bids for sieges(or the guild that owns the fortress), and you then have to be selected by your guild to join the sietge since there are is only enough space 40 players at every siege. if your guild is large and you dont have top gear it's almost impossible to get picked to participate.
Mortal Online lets you build keeps in certain predetermined spots on the map and then build control towers to try and take control of territory or towns. sieges can happen at any time, anywere on the map, with as many people as are willing to participate and everything player made can be destroyed. you effectively have to destroy everything and rebuild from scratch if you want to take over some one else's keep. ninja sieges, and zerg sieges happen all the time.
Darkfall also has predetermined "player towns" spots and if you control that town you automaticaly control that certain area, but i'm not 100% sure how the sieging rules work. i do know there is no restriction on how many players can take part, but i've never actually participated in one. |

Currently this is the funnest PVP game imo . .. nothing else pumps the blood more. NEWS FLASH! A bank was robbed the other day and a man opened fire on the customers being held hostage. One customer zig-zag sprinted until he found cover. When questioned later he explained that he was a hardcore Darkfall Online player and knew just what to do. |
