Riot Games has announced that cooperative players will now be able to face off against over 40 "revamped" bots when the latest update goes live at a later date. Devs have also indicated that these bots will be no pushovers as they have better AI with acute awareness of the map, cooperative strategies for working with their little bot teammates and much more. Players will be able to take on larger hordes of enemies on the Summoner’s Rift and Dominion’s Crystal Scar maps. Players will have the chance to battle it out against a larger variety of enemy team compositions featuring more intelligent and more strategically competent bots than ever before. Dominion mode will see the new bots upping the ante even further by seeking out speed shrines, collecting health relics and even acquiring storm shields! To show off the enhanced gameplay for co-op players, Riot has produced a new video:

@creepz I don't know what it is but this is maybe the first game that impressed me with AI. I would love to try that new patch. Music is the science of manipulating people trough sound. |

Sounds like it could be alot of fun. Also, for a game to spend some of its resources on the tedious tasking of AI coding is pretty impressive. |

I can't wait for this patch. After watching the video, I get the feeling the bots have the potential to be better than a lot of the player base. I currently don't enjoy playing the bots and if I need to test a new champ or build I just play normal que. Pwn is a leetspeak slang term derived from the verb own, as meaning to appropriate or to conquer to gain ownership. The term implies domination or humiliation of a rival, used primarily in the Internet-based video game culture to taunt an opponent who has just been soundly defeated (e.g., "You just got pwned!") |
