Yeah I was taken back by his art direction with this title as well. Wasn't what i expected at all. As for the demo haven't tried it yet, my GF loved it though and has talked about it everyday since it released. I only played it for the ME3 items but found it pretty fun overall. I'll probably wait on reviews and maybe seeing it go on sale before I pick it up. I have more than enough games right now anyways to last me a few months. |

It feels pretty rough, the UI is poor even with a controller and it very much seems (from the demo) that it is 'on rails'. I thought hmm Dungeon Siege III (which I enjoyed for what it was). I probablly will play if I don't dust off GW1. I guess I have been spoilt, Bastion was the last thing I played and the production quality on that was just so high it made me weep with joy. Iknow thw demo is meant to be off an older fork in the code but it seemed like another few months of development would pay dividends (yeah that old story again). |

Don't think I would shell out $60 for this game. I only get maybe 2-3 games a year and they're most likely FPS that my friends play also. Going to skip. |

Probably not: Not enough freedom. To easy! Button mashing combat! Dodge better than block...Makes block pointless. To many windows to get to equip gear and such. Couldn't test crafting in the demo.
Only way I would play is if the story is over the top mind blowing. And this is the stepping stone for the MMO? I have doubts! |

Felt too much like Fable, which I hated. I hate being closed in like that and I didn't like the arty style. I may at some point, when it's on sale in a year or 2 pick it up for my PS3, but only to get the lore for the MMO which had better be night and day compared to this game. Demo was definitely better control wise on my PS3 then on the PC. |

Yeah. I wasn't too impressed. World lore was ok. Graphics weren't too exciting to me. Gameplay was fast and fun at times. Typical talent trees ...the fate cards are an interesting twist but essentially its the same ole' same ole'. I might buy it when its $10.00 on Amazon but until then I have Assassins Creed (I,II and Brotherhood) to start and play..Skyrim..Battlefield 3 . Hell I still have Mass Effect 1 undone as well as Arkham Asylum. RIFT took and now SWTOR takes up most of my time. |

Originally posted by Thorbrand I found block much more effective than dodge myself. Part of the reason was the camera seemed to like to move around on me way to much so I had a hard time controlling where I would dodge to. Block was just way more straight forward to use most the time at least in the short demo. I'm talking about the Xbox version of the demo BTW. |

I found it to be a strange mix of things without it's own style really. It's character models were cartoony while the enviroment and some of the effects were well done. The overall feel is cartoony though, with lots of blood thrown in which felt a tad bizzare.
The concept at the beginning wasn't bad but the characters were two dimensional, (I began to feel that the story was a poor mans Planescape Torment fan mod), and as I learnt more it felt a bit too generic.
While the combat is pretty fun it felt that they took a few ideas/concepts from other successful RPGS and wrapped it in a generic, 'terrible evil needs to be destroyed'!, wrapper.
So a no from me maybe in a years time if it's on offer I might consider it again. This looks like a job for....The Riviera Kid! |

Undecided. The demo was fun and all but think I will wait on it to hit sale price. I cannot give any one reason I wont pay full price but several nagging things that combined to make me weary of it. I want to see just how open the world is as well. |

Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody the power, the other to crave it. |

For those who do not know, EA took code for the game and handed it to a third party developer to get the demo ready. 38 Studios had nothing to do with the crappy demo. I just preordered last night but the game will mostly be about tiding me over until their MMO comes out. |
