You hear that sound?
Thats the sound of Blizzard's coffin lid being closed slowly before burrial.
Anyway, If anyone had any doubts on how bad Diablocraft III will be this pretty much proves it :)
I'll wait for Torchlight II, aka the real Diablo franchise successor with actual diablo developers and music composer. # A GRIM, ODD, ARCANE SKY |

Regardless of how good/bad D3 turns out to be it will get mauled on metacritic. Everything else is a maybe but that is the one true constant. |

Ye i think they revamp the game for some unknown reason and the guy seam really pissed. They probably trashed his 5 years worth of work, over some difficult to spot reason. Maybe some concurrent are like knocking on the same door, and they got all fuzzy. The concurrent is my personal theory. |

I still have the cd's for Diablo1 and Diablo2 both games have Bots / Hacks / Exploits that all work on Blizzards Battlenett Realms. Blizzard does'nt give a crap about the Diablo Franchise otherwise they would have banned all these cheaters and made it impossible for anyone to use 3rd party programs on the Realms. I am not looking forward to Diablo3, i will buy it but i know that it will just gather dust for i just dont like what i see in Diablo3. .. I don't believe Torchlight2 will be any better, i for one don't want to join Perfect Worlds servers just to to play peer to peer Torchlight2, remember this is not the tl mmo that they may do in the future. .. I just hope that Diablo3 hardmode (one death and delete your charactor) will be as fun, death waiting in the shadows and around every corner on the edge of your seat gaming. Although i doubt it will be, for once again the CareBear bunch of players will cry and have any hard monsters removed from the game (just like they did 2 years ago with Diablo2). ... Games are way to easy now. |

The WOW vanilla development team is the one that pushed the Diablo creators out of the company and WOWified Diablo. They have specific ideas of what does and doesn't work. It's too bad that Blizzard had or chose to sell to Vivendi. Too many cooks in the kitchen and a willingness to cut costs just to crank in the cash.
I'm sure D3 will be fun, but it won't have anywhere near the impact D2 did. |

Any proof or argument on that? Quite a lot of community has went all "frackk d3, Ill get torchlight II instead" with each anouncement last year, including RMAH, DRM, new armor "designs" and etc. Will it affect the sales in major way? Surely not. There are a lot of blizzard fanboys who buy everything actiblizzard makes. But saying thait WON"T affect the sales at all is ridiculous. # A GRIM, ODD, ARCANE SKY |

After reading the OP's post and then reading a few more comments I feel like I should just throw in a new hack and slash title other tha diablo 3 or torchlight 2. It looks and feels like Diablo 2 being that it's a more gothic theme. check it out: As far as I'm aware it's going to be a free to play hack and slash with an online market, but what the heck it's already looking better than D3.

I don't think D3 be as big as most people think. I played the beta and the game is great, I like how it feels and I actually like the streamlining. But I don't think people want this kind of game anymore. It feels like one big anti-climax. |

Odd question maybe, but doesn't this happen all the time? People leaving for better opportunities or other challenges? Or is there more to it that makes his leaving more special than that of other people who have left, that points to creative differences or a conflict?

Go, go haters, bash more! Blizzard always made top notch games and they are still doing it. Please name one game that wasn't succesful. Also name at least one newer game they released and that's not played by millions. Starcraft 2? WoW: Cataclysm? Some may say: "OMG THEY HURR RUINED IT WITH DURR CATASHIT" but it would be your opinion. Not the opinion of milions still playing it. D3 will be a success and it will be played in years to come. That's just how Blizz rolls. Cheers haters |

I get D3 free since I'm on the annual pass so...I don't care too much if it's good or bad. It's free, i can simply not play it. All I lose is hard drive space which I have plenty.

Oh - people will give it a try. WoW has failed us - so what? - It was expected to fail after so many years of success. Diablo 3 - I will buy it no matter what, even if they fail terribly with it. Yet this will make my opinion on the Blizz as a whole. If they fail with Diablo 3 it would add up with the WoW failure so - I won't purchase their next product. Same was with the ID Software. I loved Doom1/2, Quake 3 was a good multiplayer game, they failed with the Doom 3 (but it still was ok), they failed terribly with Rage = 2 consuquential fails = I will never ever buy anything else from ID. What dev managers sometimes don't understand that having good sales on the gaming market is not equal to building up the strong brand. For large game brands sales = previous achievements. But who cares? Those managers will change their jobs before the next Blizz project will release and sales will reflect previous failures. Right? )) |
