http://www.mmorpg.com http://www.gamespot.com/ http://www.ign.com/ What do these 3 sites have in common all have the exact same advertisment for EA's new game Kingdoms of Amular plastered on the front page. Thats fine if EA is paying this site for advertising, but why does MMORPG.com deny it? Thi subject came up in the TOR forums because MMORPG.com reviews are so bias for that game its pathetic. But seeing this just confirms that MMORPG is getting $$$ from EA. Especially since its advertising a single player game just like it did with Dragon age. Waiting for:ArcheAge |

When did MMORPG.com ever deny that advertisers pay them to run ads? "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice." ~Greys Law |

Wait... you mean companies can pay websites to advertise for them... Furthermore, you insinuate that companies can own other companies somehow!? Possibly with a legally binding agreement of some sort!? |

Why wouldn't it be? Isn't the next "big thing" to come out that has been hyped for months? Hell..it comes out in a few weeks right? These are gaming related sites right? |

When you feel a game has a hyped review, just take that score, and average it against the many, many negative ones from users. Then you develop a system that demands the average game be a 3 out of 10. Writer / Musician / Game Designer Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4 |

I'll give you DragonAge2 .. ..but KOA is not just a SPG it is also the precursor..a taste..of 38Studios MMO (release date unknown) In my opinion it's fine to be included on an MMO site for this reason . So far..tho..Im not too impressed with trailers. Maybe once I try the demo I'll change my mind. |

If you watch a game, it’s fun. If you play it, it’s recreation. If you work at it, it’s FF-XIV. |

I think MikeB aka Fony said it best on the bff report when he said the reasons why game websites such as this one give high reviews even when a game is bland and copying another game is because if they give it a negative review then they would be put on a black list. That in return would keep them from doing other ea betas, keep them out of certain events, and lower there speed to put out reviews of other mmo's since they would be known for telling it like it is. However this site is already known to its bias opinion to AAA mmos regardless of how good the actual game is like with FF14 it took them forever to release a actual bad review of it. Why else would they hire a NO NAME like pokket to be a writer=looks and bias reviews. Not only have more poeple been asking these questions more and more lately but they have finally discovered hey guess what mmorpg is only about one thing fanservice and not to the fans to the developers. |

Of course we have advertisers. Reckoning is a HUGE game for EA, for 38 Studios. This is another thread that defies logic. Closed. Associate Editor: MMORPG.com |
