Ragnarok online, i was in 6th grade (or 7th) and the world felt so massive, i was blown away. But i wish i could have played UO at that time. :( sad that i missed it. |

Mine was runescape.
Btw, you might want to chagne your poll to include some actually old MMOs. You might also consider using basic grammar and punctuation. "Sorry, but if you didn't play with Lego as a kid, you were a deprived child and your parents should be flayed alive." ~ Hoobley |

Dark Age of Camelot back in 2002, and I thought it was stupid to pay a monthly fee for a video game, yet here I am... Porn has voice acting, who doesn't skip it? |

Realm Online was my first MMO, but in a lot of ways I see my first MMO being SWG because it was the one that had the largest impact on me. Play as your fav retro characters: cnd-online.net. My site: www.lysle.net. Blog: creatingaworld.blogspot.com. |

10 REM HELLO WORLD DUNGEON 20 HP = 10 30 AC = 5 40 D = 6 50 PRINT "YOU SEE A CAVE. PRESS ANY KEY TO ENTER" 60 GET A$ : IF A$ = "" THEN GOTO 60 70 PRINT "YOU ARE ATTACKED BY AN ORC!"
(ok, it may not technically have been multiplayer or online, but in my imagination it was WoW)

Runescape. Many people in my elementary school played Runescape. It was an easily accessible game so word of it spread like an airborne virus. |

Draw Something is now an MMO. God has forsaken us. |

Originally posted by Plasmicredx That has one problem. There are monthly fees. Every person in America from their birth owes back fees of about 60000$ because of our national debt. We also have about 1000$ every month in living expenses. That is your sub, the 60k$ is your box price. Outside is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. Further, the time to create the engine was about 4billion years. Then maybe a few hundred million to get the mechanics in place and then in order to create the client software it took about 100000 years. |

I want an mmorpg where pvp matters, my enemies are not my race or class, and community matters. |

Dark Age of Camelot ruined me.
44 classes 25 or so races 3 completely independent realms siege awrfare territorial control no instances! pvp matters for everyone in your realm no mirrored classes guild housing/player housing sigh....
Good old days before every race was cosmetic and classes were cut and paste mirrors and battlegrounds meant nothing other than a flag capture type ladder ranking for just the player. What crap.

Lineage 2. It was a nice-ish game back then. Lots of mob grind, but you could have a good time once you got into a guild, there have been a lot of classes, the game looked simple and beautiful, and grouping and PvP could result in really good times. |

Runescape in 2001. It was quite good until the graphics update ruined its soul. |
